unpracticed rote.... This makes no sense to me. Rote = practice. What habit or practiced skill does she have that transfers to her grabbing a wet shrimp? If the oxymoron is intentional, I am the moron, unable to get your intent. :-)
Eh it's a little cryptic. I'm still cleaning the story up. unskilled rote is what I was going for.
