Hello dear blog readers and Steemians,

last Sunday (October 28.) I also visited a Batik manufactory to see the proscessing. In this article I want to show you some photo impressions of the Legong Batik manufactory and explain you the processing. The location of the Legong Batik manufactory is: JL. Supratman 312 Tohpati - Denpasar 80237.

About the Batik processing:

1. Making designs on the white material
a. Copying the original designs
b. Directly without copying before
there are not used for stamp processing

2. a. Covering designs with wax (klowong) on both sides

b. Filling designs with ornaments and small dots

c. Covering some special parts of the designs to get the second colour (sawuk)

d. Covering some special parts of the designs to get the white colour (tembokan)

Note: For stamp processing they can directly do without making designs before, every stamp has its own design.

3. Dyeing for the first colour.

4. Scrapping some parts of the wax to get the second colour by using a kind of knife (cawuk). Omitting all the wax by putting the material in boiling water so that there are two colours, blue and white.

5. Covering some part of the designs where are dots to them.

Note: After fifth processing they usually put dots on the lines of the designs to make them nicer.

6. Drying for second colour, they can dye it as many time as they want to obtain more colours.

Thanks to my local guide Bano, who offered me a really good price for a whole day tour through Bali!

I visited many different places on Sunday and I was free to choose which spots individually.

If you are searching for a driver together with a friendly guide to create your own individual tour on Bali for a good price, I can suggest you to contact Bano.

Here is his mobile number with Whatsapp too: +62 877 566 455 64

If you are contecting him, it would be cool if you are telling him, that you was recommended by Jonas from Germany. Im not getting a comission for it, it´s just that he knows that Im suggesting his tour service.

Greetings and hear you everyone!
