Are We Creating Content… or Just Chasing Money?

in #writing16 days ago

Although if you look it this way the country is not really doing good one must survive just to keep up in this cruel world of ours, there was a time when everything seems hard no job people had to switch into what they are good at to earn more living some of it could be said to be posting their art work online, doing online vlog, comedy skits, and so much more then the viewers enjoyed watching their video and they get paid for it people find it relaxing rather than working in a whole company and not getting paid good why don't they switch to an hobby of them which they can just get paid for?

It was fun watching people art work, gaming, skills, work style people posting what they love or displaying their skills online to earn money I mean people took a great interest to it won't lie it helps alot of people to see something they can live by even tho the economy is fucked up you could take steem for example many people see the place as an hobbies, to write to earn and live with I bet so many people as it as their occupation just to make a living others as a supporting space and steem has really make a big impact on people that's real!

But here comes the real problem monetization has pushed so many people to post extreme content or just dump shit just to make money.

One thing I notice about we humans we like taking advantage of things alot if we learn of this new things we would want to misuse that privilege for the benefit of greedines for example the monetization if after they find a way to support people you start seeing rubbish content online that's not even adding value to the society and they say in the name of making money.

Sometimes people would spam social media with their extreme content it's like money became the new director telling people how to act, what to think, and what to post. You can tell when someone is being themselves and when they are performing for an algorithm.

What annoyed me the most is when many people who intend to become lazy don't want to take the long road of posting something quality not because they can'they just feel I just have to post and they will earn money why learn a skill when u can just film something and earn money from it immediately? It's almost like monetization created a shortcut to success and nobody wants to take the long road anymore.

I'm not saying monetization isn't a good thing. Monetization has opened the road for people to get their creativity wild to earn engagement and customers online and push them to become better while for others, it becomes a trap that encourages shortcuts and fake personalities.
