Humanity is slowly losing the belief in traditional religions, with all the technological developments happening at an exponential rate a new belief system will certainly emerge and propagate at a really fast rate in my opinion. it might go three ways: the domination of either a collectivist or individualist philosophy or both sharing a large portion of the belief system around the world. My two cents!! :)

Yes, traditions changes, what we believe in changes with times, there are people who abuse beliefs and religion, the point is to make sure to not blindly follow, but think :)
Absolutely! What I see as a primordial attribute humans must develop during this era is critical thinking. There is a massive overflow of Information propagating at light speed and many ideologues are taking advantage of an existing naivety through mass media and other means. We need to be careful and promote values that are able to sustain us and future generations, taking into account all the radical changes happening in societies and a more and more globalized world.
Yes, it has been a long time of people being comfortable with following without any reason, as the awareness grows, I believe we can become more accepting and giving as there is nothing fun if you are the last person of earth, because the rest extinguished each other.
