The Clockmaker’s Secret

in #writing4 days ago

In a quiet village, there was a clockmaker named Eli, known for crafting timepieces so precise they seemed alive. One evening, a traveler arrived, holding a broken pocket watch and begging Eli to fix it.

As Eli worked, he noticed something strange: the watch ticked backward. Intrigued, he tinkered through the night, and when dawn broke, he realized the watch could turn back time—but only for one hour.

The traveler smiled and whispered, “Use it wisely.” Eli returned home, faced with a choice: undo a small regret or save someone from a great mistake. He paused… and for the first time, he wondered if some moments were meant to remain unchangeable.

The watch ticked on.
