Cosmic Surgery (Fiction Story)

in #writing2 days ago

A knock on the door wakes me up, and I hit the floor for a quick rendezvous with my glasses. It knocks again; this time a bit stronger. I get up, straighten my back after a lousy sleep, and walk towards the door.

“Who’s there?”

“Your twin.”

“I don’t have a twin.”

I notice a yellow-orange energy penetrating through the door and forming the shape of a male human in front of me. I freeze.

“Yes, you do. … I know it’s a bit too much for a human being living in this high-density realm, but we’re running out of time for a casual conversation. You have to come with me.”

💎💎💎

Crystal white pyramids everywhere I look. Some are enveloped in an emerald smoke, while others feature a fanciful decoration of sapphire-gold light, making them resemble giant Christmas trees.

I look to my right and notice the guy who considers me his twin

Where on Earth are we?”

“That’s the point, little brother. We’re not on Earth.”

“What?”

“Just keep flowing. We don’t want to be late for the surgery.”

“Flowing? What surgery?”

“How do I best bring this across for your minuscule brain to process. You don’t walk in this dimension. Your feet are merely a frequency for you to buoyancy your light structure.”

I look down and panic. My feet aren't moving, and yet I’m following this guy with ease.

“Did you say surgery? What surgery?”

I could barely finish my question when I was pulled to the side by my so-called twin and dragged into a small rose-quartz pyramid.

“I see you finally found what you’ve been looking for across timelines and galaxies. You’re aware, though, that we can’t proceed without his agreement. We need to respect his free will, Naxy.”

You ain’t gonna touch me, weirdos. No. No. No. I won’t sign anything. I’m not agreeing to anything.”

I looked up at the dolphin that had given the previous speech and continued shaking, twisting, and having difficulty expressing myself.

“I’m gonna close my eyes now, and when I open them, I want you all gone back into your oceans, seas, or whatever other places you came from. I’m done with this nightmare.”

I closed my eyes and commanded the dream to end, only to wake up to a soft and tender voice.

“Welcome to Lortensia, our beautiful pyramid planet located on Sirius B. We’ve been expecting you, Randy.”

“No way. Not only am I unable to snap out of this nightmare, but on top of it, I’m greeted by a giant blue mosquito.”

“Hi, I’m Loreen. I’m in charge of the clinic in Lortensia. Your brother Naxy has been looking for you for billions of years. You possess a rare DNA strand that was encoded in you in ancient times. To activate this powerful strand you carry and unlock its full potential, both of you had to be present in the same dimension, realm, and timeline. Randy, you hold the key to Naxy’s DNA strand and vice versa. Only when both of you get activated at the same time, you regain full access to your magnificent gifts.”

Hey buddy, we’ll just finish our beers, and we’re out of here.”

"You two, out now!”

“Should we, Naxy?"

“No. Let them be.”

“Come on, brother! Let’s scare the crap out of these bullies.”

The brothers turned back-to-back and disappeared into a rose-quartz light.

“It’s been a lot of fun on Earth, but now I need to go. I’m needed on the cosmic battlefield, and humans are waiting for you, Randy, to spread your wings. Give it all you’ve got, brother.”

“Once I’m done here, I’ll join you. Thanks for reaching out. My compliments to Loreen ;).”
