It's great to read a story inspired by one of my paintings! Before I realized as a teenager that I want to paint, I wanted to become a sci-fi illustrator, to visualize stories like yours! Thank you!

The "chineoids" are nanomachine or "nanites". Its the first thing I thought of seeing your painting, with walls of them converting crushed cities into more copies of themselves.
