These Tears (Original Poem)
ORIGINAL POEM
Tears can no longer fall from these eyes
Immune to hurt I must be
I see the anger, the disgust
Peering back at me consistently
Have you fallen so far from that tree
to be deemed different than loving?
The selfishness masked is unbecoming
All masks eventually develop cracks
Pools have been filled by past tears
Memories I no longer hold on to
Although daily I am reminded
that I'm vaguely a consolation prize
An ego to an egoless man
Distinctly sabbotages the good it can
During moments of joy and bliss
It teters above looking at what ifs

I hope you enjoyed my writing. I used to always write poems, all the time but have fallen out of it and are now just sometimes a more peaceful way for me to process feelings and such. I have begun to play with lyrics and such over the past few months so I do believe poems in a way can help me so I will try to write a bit more.

There is so much emotion pouring from this poem, Jenny, I wonder sometimes, how big are our cups?
Many writers and poets talk about how deep our wells go, but I truly think you have asked questions beyond that in this piece here.
In its penchant moods for tragedy, the world can be difficult on us all sometimes, hope you've found much more joys in both the large and the small, and have asked your "what if?" of the past slightly less for now you know what we all in @thealliance know when we have the good fortune of interacting with @topkpop: the present cherishes you. <3

That sounds really good, I have a friend who usually writes when she falls in love, feels happy or falls apart with her friend. It feels like probably it was such moment in your life that inspired you to express emotions. Thanks for such nice poem.
