Does English really matter to us
Hello beautiful people. Been a while since I made a post...
So I got into a heated argument with a few of my guys and no it wasn't about soccer or music or girls. Turned out to be sort of an odd topic.... ENGLISH. As Africans we kind of take for granted the things we say, not minding what we say or how we say them... Sometime even in written English a comma or full stop when placed wrongly could matter.
Got to read an application letter written by a graduate of political science some years back and I was almost irritated. Suffice to say it was so bad I couldn't go through the first paragraph. He didn't get the job.....
Anyways I'm just trying to say that we should pay more attention to what we say or write because it can get you places.
How about you do you think it matters?
English matters a lot but most times we just joke about the whole English stuff.
