Steemit Challenge s28wk1 : Zany and the tiny colored dragon

They moved together into the evening, light trailing behind them....
Zany was surprised to see a ray of light from the dragon making the gloom fade away. The rainy, gray, lifeless streets, which were once completely dark, slowly began to get brighter.
She held the dragon close and asked, "Hey, where are you from?" The dragon could not talk, but when Zany spoke, it spread its wings and glowed brightly. She laughed when she saw the joy around her and noticed the sadness around them started to disappear.
Suddenly, there was a huge, loud noise, like thunder. Zany got scared and jumped back to hide. Right away, she saw that the dragon was gone. She got more scared. As her fear grew, the surrounding area became sadder, grayer, and more frightening than before.
Zany found her courage and came out from hiding, going toward the puddle to look for the dragon. Just then, with a soft sound, the dragon flew down from above, its wings shining with color. Zany started to smile.
She noticed that the closer the dragon came, the more the grayness and gloom disappeared. She kept smiling. The more Zany smiled, the brighter the world became, as if the city streets were coming back to life.
The condition of the outside world was changing because of Zany's feelings. The happier she felt with the dragon in her lonely state, the more alive everything became. She decided she would never leave the dragon alone. She took it with her, walked through the evening streets, and came home.
It was raining outside, but Zany no longer felt afraid like before. Zany fell asleep that night, telling her loneliness story to the dragon. In the morning, she woke up and noticed the dragon was not there. On her bed, she noticed the diary where she had written all her feelings . She took out her diary and opened the last page she had written on. The last line said:
"Courage is not about not being afraid; courage is the spirit to conquer fear."

Zany looked back and realized she had decided to fight her fear. She had used the idea of the dragon to overcome her loneliness in this sad world. Her feelings had created the outside environment. The dragon was an emotion she had imagined. When the dragon was near, she didn't feel afraid or lonely.
The first time she heard the thunder and still bravely went to the puddle, her fear began to fade, and she felt happy. This is how she understood the change in nature. Zany was sure that having the courage to fight fear meant that loneliness, sadness, and everything else could be overcome.
Zany succeeded in conquering her fear by imagining her feelings as the dragon's presence. When she read the last line in her diary, she smiled a small, quiet smile. She knew she had succeeded in controlling her own emotions.
