SEC-S30W1: Anecdotes that teach: Maximizing Opportunities through maintaince
Some days ago, as I sat down in a salon around the place where I currently reside. I actually went to wash my hair and weave it.
The hair stylist was busy with someone else hair so I had to wait. I started meditating on a particular topic which Maximizing opportunities through maintenance. As I kept pondering on that, my attention went straight to two fuel stations just close by. Infact the two fuel stations are just opposite themselves. Check it out in the picture below.

One of the fuel station is by the left and the other by the right. I stood up and went closer to the one by the right to take a close look at it. I observed that the fuel station is so dilapidated, looking old with just one fuel tank. Guess what? They are still on operation. This particular fuel station was built before the other one by the left. I wondered how and why they got to this point.

I asked questions when I returned back to the salon and what I was told shocked me. I was told that the owner didn't take the opportunity seriously, he didn't even know how to maintain his business, wasn't paying his staff, wasn't innovative in any way. I was also told that when he started no other fuel station was around there..

He didn't maintain what he started and as you can see everything went so bad, he lost almost all his workers because other business men saw the opportunity he was joking with and decided to maximize it.

Not long one of such people who saw the opportunity he hasnt taken seriously came opposite, bought a land and build his own fuel station which is at the left. I also went over there to see things for myself.
The fuel station looks organized and beautiful. It has a supermarket inside it too. The owner seems creative, maintaining his facility therefore Maximizing the opportunity.

That experience thought me a big lesson which is the opportunity you have today may not be there forever, therefore Maximize it now! Maintain whatever you have because it qualifies you for a better tomorrow!
I was so glad that I stepped out that day because I made up my mind to always search for opportunities and use them well because life is in phases to to remain relevant in all phases you must maximize what you have.
This is all a lesson to many young people because most of them feel they will remain young forever so they go about gallivanting without purpose, wasting opportunities.
As I went back to the salon I became a preacher of Maximizing opportunities. I started telling the young ladies there to take their lives seriously.

Hi, @ruthjoe
It's a pleasure to see that you've accepted my challenge, welcome! Here is your evaluation:
I have always thought that opportunities are always present, only that few people can really see them and those who see them, not all of them take advantage of them.
