Pericoma is a legend that we all feared when growing up; he is from Imo State, Arondiezioku to be precise. He was known because of his supernatural lifestyle, which many believed was connected with witchcraft. He was made the chief of his community; despite his powers, he ruled without fear or favor.

During festival periods he will perform some magic that scares people. His magic powers include swallowing burning flames. Eating bottles and making them turn into another thing. He can also make rain fall and stop rain at his well. Sometimes his team will cut off his hand and it will reappear like nothing happened.Aside from all these magical powers, he was also a good musician who focused on the tradition of the Igbos. Fostering unity among his community, country, and beyond. He was also known as the little black god; his name was used as a landmark in his community.

Something very remarkable happened that made him more famous and global. He was driving in one of the states in Nigeria Anambra, Upper Iweka, then the tax collectors were very strict and radical. Unknowingly to the tax collectors, they stopped him and requested for his tax clearance. He explained to them that he is a serving chief in the Arondiezioku community. The tax collectors kept on dragging him around the city without giving him a chance to explain himself. When they (Tax collectors ) lifted Pericoma up, he brought out his spiritual powers, holding their hand in the air until they started shouting for help. This magic made everyone believe in his powers to this date. I was made to understand that nobody continued that task of collecting tax at Upper iweka after the Pericomamagic.

Paricoma, later formed his own group of powerful and fearful masquerades in the land of Arondiezioku. People hire them during spiritual events, and they showcase their skills. He later died in the year 2017.

After his death we still believe in the supernatural power of Paricoma. His children inherited their father's power though not as our legend.
