I will not die, I will not die was the only thing I could mutter as I lay on the floor wriggling in pains while holding my back. My breath was hanging and I couldn’t breathe down without feeling this pain in the left side of my chest region. I couldn’t touch the pain point if I tried to touch my chest from the front but I could if I touched my back region.

My phone was in my friends room that I just left to go pick up my clothes downstairs because it was about to rain. I couldn’t stand up from the floor because of the pain I was in and I couldn’t reachout for help. I just laid down there and could mutter the only thing that came to my spirit. I will not die, I will not die.

Thankful to be alive

And yea, two weeks later, here I am still alive. Isn’t that something to be thankful for. The experience I described above happened two weeks ago and I thought it was going to be my end. I just felt a sharp stab on my back while in the market that morning and few minutes back home, the pain escalated to something I thought would take my life.

No it wasn’t a heart attack. Heart attack happens to the right side of the chest where our heart is. I just didn’t know what to explain it as but it left as it came. I am just simply glad and grateful that I am alive. Hale and hearty. Some persons died through attacks like this but God had been merciful to me. I am grateful that I am in the land of the living. For there is hope for a living dog than a dead lion.

The supplements and drugs

Secondly, I am grateful for health recovery. My health has been challenging these season. I noticed serious dizziness after my last monthly circle. I tried shrugging it off but it was intense. I had to go buy some blood tonic and potentiator to boost my blood percentage and also change my meal to more of vegetables and foods that help build blood cos the last time it happened the lab result showed a drop in my blood percentage.

After the drug and supplements administration. It was better. My last circle was actually very challenging too. I could barely do nothing for three days. I had multiple cramps, backs aches and headaches that I had to take four doses of Tylenol in two days yet the pain would only abate for a few hours.

Sometimes being a woman can be a whole lot. I had to get extra vitamins and supplements to boost my health. It’s not easy when you have to loose blood every month. Some persons circle is so dramatic and exhausting while some are mild. Mine happens to be among the dramatic ones. Sometimes mild, sometimes not.

In all the health challenges, I am glad that I am still here and also feeling better. I am grateful for good health and strength. I am grateful to be feeling better after the roller coaster health experience I have had for the last one month.

Mi familia

Thirdly, I am grateful for my family. Families have their challenges but are simply irreplaceable. I am grateful for my mum and the kind of love she has shown me and my siblings these years. Our dad died when I was sixteen. My elder one was just 18. She single handedly stood by us all these years.

She refused to remarry but dedicated her life to training us even when all our relatives weren’t really there to help. My elder brother has been such a darling and supportive in carrying us his younger siblings. My younger ones have been industrious in their own way and everyone is doing their best to be better. We love and support each other when we can and we can’t ask for better.

Gifts for my brother and kid sis

I was happy last week when I gifted by brother a 25kg bag of rice to show my appreciation for his help so far and also gave some clothes to our last born girl. He was thankful and my kid sis was grateful for the support I gave her. My family is such a blessing to be grateful for. We still pray together till date and always look forward to when we reunite. I can’t help but be grateful for us.

So I look back to all that has happened in my life and this year and my life is nothing but a testimony and so much to be grateful for. I am not where I want to be yet but I am definitely not where I used to be, therefore I am thankful.

Sort:

Exactly. Thanks for stopping by
