SEC-S30W3: The things I am thankful for.
Grateful heart
Sometime we take life like nothing, believing it's only when someone is sick or old that death can come close. We fail to appreciate God for his protection. I wouldn't have been alive today if not for the mercy of God that said no. I was hospitalized for excessive bleeding. When it started, I was thinking it's something I can control with over-the-counter drugs. I endured the pain till morning, and my husband rushed me to the hospital. Behold, it was a life-threatening situation; I was admitted. The next day the blood clot that was remaining was evacuated, and the pain was on another level, but to the glory of God I overcame, and I'm alive today to say, "God, thank you.
Protection and provision
Amazing children
A lot has been happening in my country: kidnapping, killing, hunger, and others. Who am I to employ security personnel to protect myself and my family? We go about our business without any treats to life. My children go to school and come back without complaints. Something happened: a school bus failed its brakes and the motor capsized. Some children got injured and were admitted to the hospital. But, God whom I serving wholeheartedly has been guiding and protecting my children under his wings. We have not encountered any loss. I'm so grateful for the protection of life. The hunger in my country is affecting many, but God has been faithful to my family. We are seeing food to eat and give the little we have to others around us.
Peaceful marriage.
Awesome couple
Do you know that divorce is now the order of the day? People no longer tolerate each other. No remorse from partners; pride and ego are killing relationships. Domestic violence is now a routine in some families. All this I have not experienced in my marriage. This year, April 26 will make my marriage 11 years, and I can boldly say that we are good to go. We have been able to understand ourselves and solve our problems within without it getting to the point of fighting or abusing each other.I'm very thankful to God for bringing us together to become husband and wife. Marriage is a beautiful thing that two people who are involved should enjoy. We are not lonely in this marriage. God has blessed us with wonderful children that we are training in God's way.

It is certainly true that divorce is the order of the day, it is rare to find couples who make it ten years together nowadays and still want to continue. I understand why you feel grateful!
