SEC-S30W4: Building a Fable | The title of your fable

Hello everyone! Here is your friend @shahidalinaz with interesting fable. As we know fables are very interesting short stories. They are simple but they give strong message in the end. Mostly animals are used in these stories but they act like humans. From my childhood I listen such stories like hare and turtle, fox and crow, the dove and bee. I learn good lesson from them. In this post, I am sharing a small fable which shows importance of hard work, patience and thinking about future. It is simple story but have deep meaning.

Once there was a crow living on a big tree near a field. The crow was very proud. It always said, I can fly high in the sky. I am free. No one is better than me. Near that tree, there lived a small ant. The ant was very hardworking. Every day, it carried small food pieces to its home. It never stopped working.

The crow used to laugh at the ant. One day it said, Why you work so much? Just enjoy life like me. I fly, I sing, I sleep. No tension.” The ant smiled and said, Time is not same always. Hard work will help in bad days. The crow ignored her words. It kept enjoying. It wasted time and never cared about future.
Days passed. Then one day, heavy rain started. It rained for many days. The sky became dark. Food became very hard to find. The crow was hungry. It tried to find food but everywhere was water. No grains, no insects. The crow became weak day by day.

One day, it saw the ant coming out of her small home. The ant was carrying food. The crow was surprised. It asked, How you still have food in this rain? The ant said I stored food when days were good. I worked when others were enjoying. The crow felt very bad. It said I laughed at you. Now I am suffering. The ant looked at the crow with kindness. It said, Mistakes happen. But we can learn from them. Then the ant shared some food with the crow. The crow ate and felt little better.

After some days, rain stopped. The sun came out again. Life became normal. This time crow changed. It did not waste time like before. It started working daily. It collected food and saved it. Sometimes, it still flew in the sky but now it understood balance. It also respected the ant. The crow learned that life is not only about enjoying. It is also about preparing for hard time.
The ant also felt happy. Because her small lesson helped someone change.

Do not waste time in pride and comfort. Hard work and planning save us in difficult times.
