SEC-S30W1: Anecdotes that teach: (One Mistake, Big Loss: My Real Life Bike Theft Story)

Today I am going to share with you such an incident that is actually very instructive and a real incident that happened in my life. My motorcycle was stolen seven months ago. And that was from under my father-in-law's house. Actually, I bought this motorcycle to use for my personal and business purposes.
Since purchasing the said motorcycle, I have been using it for my personal needs and completing my daily tasks. In continuation of this, on 14/8/2025 at approximately 06.00 in the evening, I went to my father-in-law's house in Aziz Fazilpur Hashem Manzil under this police station with my said motorcycle. I kept my motorcycle in the stairwell of the said building and spent the night at my father-in-law's house.
Then the next day, when I went out of the house to offer Jumma prayers, I found my said motorcycle in the right place. Then after the Jumma prayers, I returned home and after the afternoon meal, my in-laws and I went to sleep. Later, at about 6:00 PM, I left my in-laws' house for Daganbhuiyan Bazar and came to the stairwell of the building and found that my motorcycle was not where it was.
Then I observed the CCTV footage of the house and found that an unknown thief had entered the building at about 3:50 PM today, 15/08/2025, vandalized the building's CCTV, stole my motorcycle and took it to an unknown location. Then I searched all possible places and could not find my stolen motorcycle anywhere, after discussing with local dignitaries, on their advice I went to the police station and filed a complaint against the unknown thief to take legal action.
Now the point is that I am discussing with you about the mistake I made here and what I learned from that mistake. Actually, I had left the motorcycle with a hydraulic lock, I had just left it with the normal lock of the bike and the thief who took this car had targeted it long ago and he understood that I would leave with the normal lock of the car for a short time and not with the hydraulic lock.
And after understanding that, they targeted me for a few days and when they saw that I was sleeping, they came and broke the lock of my car and broke the CCTV camera. Now the point is that I learned a lot here. Since it was a very expensive bike and it was a bike of my hobby. So I should have locked the bike hydraulically and then went to sleep. But I didn't do that and I had to pay a big price for my mistake. And since this lesson, I have been constantly locking the bike that I have bought now with the hydraulic lock and another extra lock and then I move it here and there.

And from that last lesson, I have realized this and now I check up every time I buy a car and lock it properly and then go out from there. And I also want to tell you that making such a mistake is not right at all because anything bad can happen at any time, so it is better to be prepared in advance. It is a very traumatic experience that you tell us, and I think you should not blame yourself for it. Nowadays vehicle thieves are practically specialists, if they were watching you as you suspect, surely they had all the ways contemplated to take the motorcycle.
