SEC-S30W1: Anecdotes that teach: A story of getting into danger while trying to catch a snake without any self-defense equipment
Since childhood, I have been very addicted to catching snakes. I used to roam around in the forest all the time. I could catch any snake with my hands. Like we see people catching snakes on TV with something. I didn't catch snakes in the same way. I used to put my hand in the snake's hole and catch it. The story that I will share now. That incident happened in my life 4 years ago. I was 13 years old then.

I was very good at catching snakes. Sometimes snakes would come to our area. I used to go to their houses. I used to learn how to catch snakes from them. I used to travel around the forest with them. This used to cause a lot of tension for my parents. I used to travel with them and learn different techniques. They used to catch snakes in different ways. I spent about a year with them. I saw them how they catch snakes. It took me about a year to learn this art. But they always told me not to catch snakes without any self-defense equipment. I agreed with them then. But when I left their company. I could not keep their word.
I used to catch snakes without any self-defense equipment. The incident I am sharing now happened in my life four years ago. In our village, many snakes were found in a house. The people of that house ran away because of the fear of snakes. Many people in our area know that I can catch snakes. So they took me there to catch snakes. I went with them to that house. While going, I did not take anything with me for my self-defense. This was the biggest mistake I made. I noticed a hole inside the house. There were about four to five snakes in this hole. Two of them were big and the other three were small. At first I thought that these snakes were not poisonous. I caught four snakes one by one and took them out. But I had a little difficulty in catching the last snake. After many attempts, I caught the snake. But I made a little mistake while catching the snake. That's why the snake bit my hand. At first, I thought it was a non-venomous snake. So I didn't give it much importance. But when my health started getting worse, the people of the village admitted me to Rangpur Medical College Hospital. The doctor there saw me. They found snake venom in my body. And to destroy the reaction to the venom, they gave me some vaccines. I was in the hospital for about two or three days. My village people rushed me to the hospital that day. That's why I survived that day.
I learned a lesson from this incident. Before doing any work, you have to think carefully. If the work is very dangerous, then you should go to the spot with the necessary equipment for self-defense. If I had taken the necessary equipment for self-defense that day, I wouldn't have been bitten by a snake. I survived that day because the people of my village admitted me to the hospital at the right time. Since that incident, I have never caught a snake. Sometimes, if I see a snake somewhere, I go there. But I have never caught a snake myself.

Snakes are not toys. There are hundreds of species of snakes in the world. Most of them are poisonous. We have many types of snakes in Bangladesh that are poisonous. Especially in our area, King cobra is more common. It is the most dangerous snake in the world. I was bitten by a King cobra that day. If I am alive, I will go catch a snake. Or if I ever need it, I will take the necessary equipment for my own self-defense. Human life is only one. When I die, the life of the world ends. If I die because of my mistake, then my family will suffer for me all my life. Even if I think about my own family, I should not do such a thing with great enthusiasm.
This is my entry for the first week of Steemit challenges, where our friend @Marvinvelasquez invites us to express ourselves through writing. I invite @maan2002, @sohanurrahman, and @inan1372 to join this challenge.

Hi, @sadik2008
It's a pleasure to see that you've accepted my challenge, welcome! Here is your evaluation:
It is a very dangerous practice. I have always been told that you should not be careless despite experience, overconfidence can be the cause of many mistakes
You must work on your writing, paragraphs are to develop ideas and make transitions within the story, so they should not be so extensive, nor should they use just one to tell several plot arcs.
