Cybercrime on Yachts

Billionaire yacht owners are susceptible to highjacking, according to a recent superyacht conference.

It is a real problem. One owner was relieved of more than 100,000 pounds after observers learned about one of his bank accounts. Others have paid ransom for compromising pictures and similar demands.

Cybercrime was a big issue at the London/based Superyacht Investor London conference. Over lunch, superyacht executives traded ideas on how to conquer new markets in China and the Middle East.
