People always say “You are young. Be happy! Live your youth to its fullest…if you don’t, you’ll regret it. If you don’t enjoy it now you’ll never have this chance ever again.”

What will I regret? Will I regret not being happy? If that’s the case… then it is all your fault. I…I… don’t know if you are humans…or if you are just some creatures who didn’t make it in life so now you want to destroy the person next to you and everything in which you see beauty. You want to see them suffer and whither in excruciating pain. That’s a personality that all of us have, but which not many can control. You are the ones that are crushing my youth and make my happiness leave my lifeless body. You are the ones that take my youth from me.
But do you know what the funny thing is? Even if you treat me like this, or our generation like this, we’ll somehow find the way out of this maze of pain. Why, you may wonder, because we can do it. You’re trying to steal our chances of achieving happiness by giving us reasons not to. You can make some of us obey to your rules, but some of us won’t because we know the true power of youth. Do you think I’ll regret standing up against this rules meant to manipulate us? No, I won’t. Because even though I have flaws, I’m trying to accept them. Self-acceptance and love are the key to my happiness, not grades, like many people think. I can call myself lucky because I’m not the only one thinking like that, I am not as alone as many will think. Grownups may have lost the chance to seeing the true beauty of life, being blinded by their responsibilities and now… they’re trying to fool me too.
You know what? I won't sacrifice myself just to have this lifestyle you want me to have so I’m going to break this mould. I have a long way to go, but I swear… I swear I’m going to prove everyone wrong and achieve the true happiness. I am young but not clueless.
So I ask again…with the little hope that still didn’t left me. What will I regret?
