Very moving, my father used to beat my mother too, he disappeared for months at a time and I would sleep in my moms room for months when I was young.

Then when I was like 17-18 I was big enough to stand up to him and more or less kicked him out of the house when he tried to show up as if nothing was wrong... having to become a man on your own without a proper father figure is very tough but at the end it made me such a powerful person both inside and out
