It sounds like you may have experienced some clairvoyance, sometimes being ultra-sensitive seems to run in the family. Maybe you and your father are ultra-sensitive? If there is one thing I have learned so far while looking into the paranormal is that the psy, the human mind, and consciousness seem to play a huge role in the unexplained.
