Zen Colouring Contest #40 - Winners Showcase!

Hello Everybody!

The time you have all been waiting for has arrived! Week 40 of #zencolouringcontest ended yesterday, and now to announce the winners!

So without further ado, let's get on with the show(case)!

Firstly lets announce the Community Favourite,

This entry was a common favourite among the upvoters from the #zencolouringcontest community.

In 3rd place:

I chose this one because I love the vibrant colour palette, the pinks and greens go very well with the bluish purple background, making the design stand out more. I also love the textures in the leaves and the background, it creates a lovely pattern!

In 2nd place:

I picked this one because I love the little details that went into colouring it, the shades of ivory work really well with the interior of those flowers being pink and the inner and outer tulips having a darker line of pink in them gives them more shape and texture. I also like the shades of green in the leaves, it gives them dimension and helps contrast the other colours. The gradient background of orange and violet is a nice touch too!

And in 1st place:

I chose this one as the winner because I absolutely love the pastel palette of colours. The sky blue and pink mix together so beautifully to create two-toned tulips. The shades of green in the leaves and stems blend well with the blues and contrast the pinks wonderfully, creating a very pretty pattern. I also love the pale pink orb in the background, it helps add a light and airy effect to the image and the pattern behind that is a nice touch without being too distracting!
