SC-S29|Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 1: The Origin Point

Have you been to a place to the extent that you're absorbed by the things seen and are moved to ask questions like, who is this intelligent creator and designer because things don't come by chance. The complexity of certain things brings about questions that can make you think beyond the supernatural. This is my Geo Quest Mystery Journey. It's indeed mysterious because I've never been so absorbed my whole life upon seeing someone I never thought would stand the test of time.

Introducing the Xplorer

I'm a curious observer with the name Jeff. I've always wanted to know certain things that aren't clear to me but the more I tried, I kept getting other unanswered questions. I'm a lover of nature that's why I chose this place as my exploration point. Of all the places you can find broad answers, nature is the best of them all. I discovered the origin point by a sign which wasn't specific enough.

1001672471.jpg

The Quest and Origin Points

In this exploration, I had a quest point and my origin point. In my quest point, I had a red visible sign in front of me, telling me to stop. As I stopped, I was told to look for paradise on earth. I laughed. How can I possibly look for a place called paradise in a broad and spacious forest with no end? How do I even start the journey. I was told to follow the signs.

1001671912.jpg1001671916.jpg

1001671918.jpg

Confused, I passed my quest point and after some minutes of trekking, I saw something that was just so stunning, making me remember what was said at the quest point. This was my origin point. Why? Because it had a sign and it said Marina Service Road. I decided to follow along, not knowing this journey will be a journey of possibilities in impossibilities. This is the beginning.

1001671922.jpgThe Origin Point

As I walked down the aisle of this service road, I saw magnificent designs from nature. Could this place be historic that it has a lot of trees with branches that are as old as 2000 years? This wasn't even the most 😣 part. So many routes with no sign to guide me. How do I find what I was looking for? I took my left and did some natural explorations in this wild forest.

PXL_20250818_134933303.NIGHT.jpg1001671923.jpg

The trees were shaky, everywhere so calm and serene, birds chipping and the road extending without an end. At some point, I missed my starting point and in this place, there's no visible coordinates to guide your moves. I decided to do an 🥾 adventure.

1001671971.jpg1001672072.jpg1001672078.jpg
The ends of the Earth

Still walking down the aisle, everything became so clear to me. I saw trees, hills, fruit trees and birds of different species in this place. The grass was so green and beautifully lawn. I began appreciating nature the more. The sky wasn't that blue because my adventure was later than 10pm. I took the opportunity to do some open photography of little insects and wild life if any. The dragon fly circle taught me a lot about family. You need to see the revolution, the interaction and insecurity when predators are scented.

1001672060.jpg

Each of them have different and beautiful designs. That's how we are different, but not united. The landmarks, green fields and aisles kept expanding till I was taken to an unknown forest covered with Bamboo. I feared that a wild animal would attack me until I saw a beautiful lawn golf. Could this be it?

1001675184.jpg1001675185.jpg

1001672124.jpg

Behold, I saw a large hill like a mountain. So beautiful that I couldn't contain my curiosity. How was this place divided in such a way that it has a pit hole that can be viewed from the top? Nature is so wild. I paused and 🤔 thought for a while. It was more than just a mere observation. I was absorbed.

I came across some buzzing 🐝insects and saw a bee for the first time in my life. The scenes were just so beautiful but I wasn't satisfied. I kept on with the journey as I was scared that I've lost my way into the woods. I saw another view which looked like houses. It wasn't the paradise with that inscription of marina. Did I miss the trail because my journey took me back to my origin point. It was a waste of my time. I had to go again and be careful of my trails this time.

1001672184.jpg1001672477.jpg
1001672481.jpg1001672526.jpg
Almost giving up when I was close to Paradise — The End

The journey to this proposed paradise was just so long. Fortunately for me, I came across another sign on a different trail. I followed this aisle for more than 46 minutes on foot but wasn't even hearing the sound of water or people chatting. Was I wasting my time.? Exhausted 🫩, I relaxed for a while and the continued the journey. Notably , I saw other signs pointing arrows. The more I felt close, the more the distance was getting farther.

1001672508.jpg

Finally, I saw the paradise, a place I never imagined I could see inside a forest. Like, who built this? Thanks 🙏🏽 to God I didn't give up because it took me 2 hours to locate this place on foot. It was just so beautiful. I spent time observing the peaceful nature of this place, but was still contemplating how I'd go back. When there's a will, there's a way. There was another exit which prevented me from trekking 2 hours again under the sun.

The paradise features

What do you think about my story? I made me think of how the Israelites trekked for 70 years on foot to the promised land. In this generation, no one would have such strength. People will definitely die on the road. My exploration journey taught me an important quality and it made me see life as being in an environment where you can always get to understand why certain things happen or are made . Just take your time and go to places where you'll seek answers to your questions using nature.

What was my quest? I was tired of the forest life even though I saw enough. The journey was just so unending. How would you enter a place without an end? You're living life without an end? When you try to seek an end, you start afresh? I asked myself if this world had an end in this vast world? Can we really see the ends of the earth? Who designed all these, made the climate regulate and animals behave the way they do? I asked myself a series of questions and I came to find the answer in paradise. There's always a reward for passing through thorns and thistles trying to find answers to our questions. Some will eventually die without getting the answers to their questions. Life is nature and I felt every bone of it.

Rephrasing

I tend to discover the end from the beginning after spending hours on research and findings without a map. I did have good memories in the process of exploring. One of such is the hillside where I did a little one exercise with my legs. It was all fun though. This hill game reminded me of my childhood days. It's embedded in the video I shared. I also did meditation close to the fountain where water was giving the fields its green colour.

I felt what true mindset development was. The atmosphere was engaging enough and I had this broad of the world as a world of unending possibilities because the more I searched for, the more I saw other answers which don't necessarily have to be mine. It always has an end no matter how vast it can be. This is just the terrestrial aspect of nature. There's more to learn about life in the aquatic life and that of the skies.

Nature is one hell of a place that links and connects to a lot of warring problems or questions we have about life. It solves, it heals, it helps us think beyond the horizon and many other impactful things. I think in my next journey, I'll try to connect nature in green life with that of the vast, colourless and assuming blue waters..

These are some of the wonders I came to see from what my grandparents told me. There's this tree that's in the middle, surrounded by other trees. They call it the tree of the knowledge of good and bad. People are taken to this tree to check if they are telling the truth or lying. If the surrounding trees shake wildly, it means the person is lying. If it doesn't, it means that the person is being truthful.

I saw landscapes that made me marvel about creation. Come to think of the longest and largest of roots which can be sat on. It may not be the longest and largest, but it's among the 1-100.

1001672486.jpg1001671915.jpg

Signs I saw include the no cycling sign which means anyone cycling or driving can have a dead turn here as this place is very dangerous. I also saw another sign with the description of 15. These signs tell that in life, there are rules governing how we live otherwise we would all have a dead end.

I invite @whizzbro4eva, @okere-blessing, @memanum

This place is where the street is. Let me check my steem-atlas code. It's corrected now. Thanks for heads-up

I really enjoyed reading your origin journey. The way you patiently followed the signs, endured confusion, exhaustion, and still continued the quest until reaching “paradise” truly reflects a calm and persistent mindset. From your emojis, long trekking, and reflections, my guess for your hidden clue is PATIENT. Your story shows that you believe meaningful discoveries take time and perseverance. Well done on such an immersive exploration.

We once visited this place when ma'am ngoenyi was still in Uyo. We went there with goodybest and some other steemians. I think the invitation was extended to you, but your schedule that day was tight.

I was so shocked to see and study the movement of a bee for the first time

Thank you for your participation in Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 1: The Origin Point. Here is a re-evaluated and fair evaluation of the post by @bossj23, taking into account the user’s comment/objection and the clarifications provided.

Evaluation Summary (Re-Review)

CriteriaScoreComments
1. SteemAtlas Pin & Description1.25 / 1.5The pin and coordinates are present, and the location is identified (“Marina Service Road” near Ibom Icon Hotel & Resort). For full clarity, the pin/post should still include a clean visitor-friendly line with city + country and one clear landmark reference.
2. Creativity of Mission & Hidden Clue1.85 / 2.0Re-checking with the author’s explanation: the hidden clue is indeed done through an emoji-code where the emojis’ meanings form a word. The concept “quest point → origin point → paradise” is also creative and fits the mystery theme well. Minor deduction only because the code is not instantly readable without the explanation (but it remains fair and not too obvious, as requested).
3. Speem.watch Proof Video1.9 / 2.0Based on the participant’s confirmation, the required spoken “starting point” message is present in the video, and the video is valid proof. Slight deduction only if recognizable markers are not consistently clear throughout the clip.
4. Storytelling Quality1.7 / 2.0Strong sense of exploration, curiosity, and reflection. The journey feels immersive and personal. A slightly tighter focus (less repetition in some sections) would make the narrative even stronger.
5. Photos Quality & Authenticity1.5 / 1.5Photos appear personal, consistent with the story, and support authenticity and atmosphere very well.
6. Engagement (Comments / Clue Guessing)1.0 / 1.0Updated based on the author’s objection: the participant confirms they commented on two posts and guessed hidden clues. This meets the requirement for full engagement points.

Final Score: 9.2 / 10

Remarks:
This re-review confirms that @bossj23 followed the rules more closely than the first evaluation suggested especially regarding engagement, the spoken line in the video, and the emoji-code hidden clue. The entry stands out for its “mystery quest” structure and strong nature-focused exploration. The main improvement to reach an even higher score would be to make the SteemAtlas location description more precise (city/country/landmark in a single clear line) and slightly tighten the storytelling flow.

Hidden clue confirmed: PATIENT

  • If you check the video well, you'll see hear that I said the spoken line you wanted to hear....I followed the rules squarely . I'm PATIENT
  • You stated that we can use it emojis for hidden cues and I used emojis squarely. You also stated that it shouldn't be too obvious. I didn't make it obvious. If you're bringing all the emojis together, you'll see that I created a word with the initials of these emojis..... Let's see...

I Know that you're the jury, but also check out these objections

There's so much greenery where you're from. It's wonderful to enjoy nature, to discover its beauty. In such a marvelous paradise, life is pleasant. Up close, we see the hand of a creator. A place to meditate on so many good things: sun, air, oxygen. I'm sure the adrenaline flowed through my body as I ran down that hill.

🤣🤣🤣🤣..... You're speaking my mind because it was too much tension rolling down that hill. Anyways, it was a wonderful experience though.
