Stop Talking and Start Working ... Out !
Want a healthy body and sound mind? There is no other way except for physical exercises. Exercise not only keeps your body in a perfect shape but also prevents it from a number of diseases. Physical exercises can help you in losing weight, boosting your mood and reduce stress and depression. You easily get motivated by seeing a fit body but can’t keep your motivation up. So here are simple steps which will guide you how to Start Your Own Exercise Regimen and Stick to It.
1. Make a timetable:
We all think we have a very busy routine and don’t have a little room for another activity. Sit down, clear your mind and make your daily timetable. You’ll see there is a plenty of free time in your so called busy schedule. Eradicate the unnecessary activities from your timetable and replace them with healthy ones. Pick up the time of the day when is body is not too exhausted. If you have a habit of forgetting, then set a daily alarm for the remainder of your exercise time.
2. Choose an Exercise:
You are lucky enough to choose from hundreds of different choices. There are plenty of healthy exercises from which you can choose which suits you best. In the gym, there are multiple exercises serving different purposes but having a common aim – to give you a fit body. You can even opt yoga, swimming, cycling, jogging, etc. If you get bored from the same course of exercises, then switch to another exercise. You got a room full of options.
3. Keep Track:
Keep track of all your exercises. Note down the time for each exercise. Set small goal and increment the number of rounds for each exercise. Compare your progress with your previous track and increase the time of your exercise. Keep count of your daily calories intake and the calories you burn. If you want to lose weight, the intake calories should be lesser than the ones you burn and if you want to gain weight, then it’s vice versa.
4. Set small goals:
You won’t get a waist of 28 from 36. It requires patience and persistence. Set small goals and achieve them first. Don’t panic and work for hours in the beginning. This will demotivate you and stress you out. So, in beginning, a 30 minutes’ workout is enough. And when you feel your body is ready for more stress, go for 45 minutes and then an hour or so. Keep track of your measurements. Every fortnight, measure different parts of your body. A drastic change is not a symbol of a healthy body. If it does, change your exercise.
5. Avoid dehydration:
Avoid dehydration by drinking water as much as you can. But don’t drink water in excess while you’re working out. Plain water will wash out the salts and other minerals of your body. Use sports drinks during the workout. Drink a small amount of water after a fixed course of time during your workout as this will help your body to gain water that it lost as sweat.
6. Always keep your motivation high:
Behind every fit body lies strong motivation. It’s the key to a healthy body. There will be times when you’ll feel fatigued and stressed but always remember your ultimate goal. To keep your pace and motivation, listen to upbeat music during the workout. Take stairs instead of taking elevators. This will help you in improving your stamina.
