Keeping sentences as short as possible...since English isn't my mother tongue...so it's sometimes hard for me to explain a word or a situation...

That's just a matter of practice and vocabulary building. There is an editing tool called Hemingway, that costs $10USD, that is specifically designed to help eliminate complex sentences and simplify writing. It does give some suggestions, but mostly it just points out where your sentences might be too complex. That might help.

Thank you, I'll look it up! because I'm also using Grammarly for spelling mistakes :)

Grammarly is okay, if you want a really great editor, buy whitesmoke. It's the best english language digital grammar editing tool.

Thank you so much! I'll try it and give it a go :)
Btw, at what time does the next dolphin-school starts? - Because I'm in Europe, does it matter because of the different time zones?

Write combat scenes. I've always been awful at them, and as a result my characters are instead skilled at talking their way out of conflict, because I have no idea how to properly write a fistfight, swordfight, or gunfight. :)

Interesting. I've not written that many of them, but not because I feel inadequate. I suppose I approach it the same way I would choreographing a fight for the stage, thinking through each action. I think the key is, to make it convincing, without going into too much detail, unless you actually know what you're talking about.

BTW, would love to have you add chapter to Harold of Apocalypse if you're interested. I'm looking for coauthors.

I can try to write up something this weekend, but can't make any promises. :)

Well, every other chapter will be open to submission, so maybe somewhere along the way you'll catch it. The more, the merrier.

I will learn how to write fantasy novels and scripts.I enjoy watching fantasy movies.

Hey, come add a chapter to my new project, you can learn to write.

I wish I had a more creative mind to write with....I know creativity comes as a skill one is born with, but I think a lot of it can be learned as well....If I only knew how.

Whoever told you it's from birth didn't know much about it. Sure, some people seem more creative, but I think it's because they encourage it in themselves. You want to know the biggest secret to earning a living for 25 years as a creator? Create. Create. Create! Ideas come when you're using them. The mind has no reason to generate creative ideas if you're not giving it a reason to!

How to handle writer's block

Write. Write every day. Whatever you can write. Write when you don't feel like it. Write total crap until it starts to shape up. Writer's block in a particular Work In Progress, is most often defeated by writing whatever part you CAN write. Write character backgrounds, do some world building, take notes from your research, write a list of questions about the project. Write anything. Don't allow yourself to call it writer's block, because in reality, in 95% of the cases, it's being stuck at a particular point. We convince ourselves that a local barrier (not knowing how to finish one scene) is holding us back, when it reality, we often know what comes after it, and if we go explore that for a bit, the bridge to get there will often appear. Sometimes it's best though, to just walk away for a few minutes, an hour, a day, then come back, rather than dwell on the feeling of being stuck. The mind accepts and acts on what we tell it is true. If we believe we are stuck, we will be.

Thanks for that ill keep that in mind when im doing my blogs on Steemit. Overcome the writer's block by writing more, practicing more and just going with it. Sometimes we'll think that something we wrte should be erased when there's no problem with it

If that's what you mean, it's not writer's block, it's analysis paralysis, and the biggest key is, write first, edit after. Don't fuss over that one sentence, finish the piece, you likely know what you wanted to say, then come back and polish it.

Now thats something I don't do ill keep that in mind
