My story today, September 12, 2026: My kind dad took us to a newly opened mall.

Hello, my lovely friends!
It's a holiday today, and I have another evening story to share... My husband was very kind today. He had traveled to another town for work and discovered a newly opened shopping mall. He came back and told us about it, and our children were all very excited. After the mall opened for only one day, we all went there because they have a huge outdoor playground. And we also went for a walk at the night market before heading home. That's the fun story of our day!

At 3:00 PM, we all showered and got dressed. It was almost 4:00 PM by the time everyone was ready. We thought it wouldn't be too far, but we were completely wrong! The traffic was terrible on the way, and some sections of the road were under maintenance, which slowed us down considerably. And to add to the fun, before we went to the new shopping mall, we stopped to buy some lottery tickets to try our luck. Then, our little one started getting restless because she wanted to go to the restroom at a gas station. The trip was short but fun and happy in our family way. After leaving the restroom, our little one asked for snacks because there was a convenience store at the gas station. My husband took the kids to buy snacks and drinks, and then we drove on. We arrived at the mall almost at 6:00 PM. We figured we'd just spend a short time there and then head back. Mainly, we'd take our daughter to play on the rides...

We found parking across the street from the mall, which only had two floors but was surprisingly spacious. Cars were parked all the way out onto the street! Understandable, as it was only its second day since opening. We walked inside, past McDonald's, which my daughter was very excited about because she really wanted to eat there – I don't know what it is about their bread, haha! We didn't go inside; there were food stalls, clothing stores, toy stores, and other areas. We went to the second floor, and my youngest daughter bought a bag. After that, we walked around to the back, which was an amusement park. The area at the back was really nice; it's not too crowded if you come early in the day. Looking further in the distance, we could see a large pond with a well-paved walking path, perfect for exercise, and bicycles for riding. There were also lots of toys, which families with young children would really enjoy.

After walking around inside for a while longer, it was time for us to go home because on the way we saw a night market we had visited before. We decided to have a quick bite there and then go look for something to eat at the night market. My daughter likes jewelry, so she went into a jewelry shop. We waited outside for a short time, and then she came out. We went to McDonald's, which was packed; it was almost impossible to find a seat. We ordered burgers and drinks each, and then it was time for us to go home.

The illuminated sign in front was so beautiful, I couldn't resist capturing the atmosphere. Even though it wasn't completely dark yet, the sign was already stunning. By the time we walked back, it was almost 8 PM. Our next stop was the night market – lots of delicious food awaited us there! I usually only visit places once if there's nothing particularly interesting.

We drove back the other way and arrived at the night market, which had many stalls. So, we turned into the night market – "Here I am!" (hahaha). Finding a parking spot was easy today; what a great day! As we walked inside, we slowly looked at each stall. There was so much food, but why did I feel so full? Hahaha, I just ate a lot a little while ago, so why am I hungry so quickly? There were many things to buy, including Thai food, but I didn't feel like eating anything other than a cold herbal drink. My daughter wanted to eat tanghulu (candied hawthorn), and another wanted something else delicious. I understand that children eat often and in small portions. At 10 PM, some stalls started closing. So, it was time for us to go home. I love driving home, or driving outside with the air conditioning on and music playing; it's an indescribable feeling of happiness. And that concludes our story for today. We went to a new shopping mall and ate delicious food at the night market.
