What women want?

At 4:30 am, the van pulled up to the designated lane, ready to pick up a woman who had chosen to marry her partner at a young age.

Recognising the challenges of their financial situation, she decided to join forces with her husband to support their small family, aiming for a better future together. I first encountered her during our training period at the company where I was employed.

They were living on the first floor of their building,
a compact but loving home. When the driver called to notify her of the arrival, her husband answered the phone.
He insisted that the driver park directly beneath their home. However, the driver calmly explained that company policy only allowed him to drop off passengers at the specified landmark.

After a few tense moments, the woman emerged with her husband, who immediately began raising his voice at the driver. The woman remained quiet, visibly shaken by the confrontation, while other employees grew increasingly frustrated as the clock ticked closer to office hours. It was evident that her husband, a driver himself, was feeling the pressure of the situation. As tempers flared, he finally conceded, saying he would follow the van to the office.

Throughout this unfolding scene, my attention was drawn to the woman, acutely aware of the embarrassment she was experiencing.

Upon our arrival at the office, I exited the vehicle and observed that an individual had already reached the parking area. However, as he lacked the necessary authorisation to enter the parking zone, he rudely instructed the driver to exit the driving area.

Our shift was just about to begin.
So we couldn't wait for the drama!
But the woman I am talking about always sat beside me! During the training period, we became close to each other
which is why I was aware of her personal life drama!

When we were just going start our devices;
all of a sudden! I glanced at a black patch on her hand, which was hidden under the cloth!
Now, the picture of the morning scenario cleared to me! I understood why the man was angry, it was not only one day but several days
I found black spots on her body parts!
Many might consider me as supporting feminism!

Many men are also going to protest and can't agree with me!
Because in their perspective, men are going through distinct trauma which was inflicted by women!
Agreed! I did not appear to make anyone smaller or bigger,
Neither is my motto to highlight anyone's sentiment!
But as a human being, I have seen that most of the time, women need to adjust according to the choice of men!
That was not only one scenario, but while working with three NGO's, I witnessed various cases of domestic violence!

  • When I stay alone and think about what women want?

The two answers came to my mind!

First:-

Equal respect!
Second:-

The trust they show to their men must be understood by them.

I don't know, there might be other points too! Those who will go through the content must share their views through comments!

It's very sad and regrettable that domestic violence exists; it's something that exists regardless of social status or circumstances.

In my opinion, this shouldn't be tolerated. Women often don't know how to escape this situation because they are financially dependent on men, because of their religion, or even because it's a cultural issue. But what I am very clear about is that violence should not be tolerated.

I hope your friend can overcome this situation and get out of there.

I agree with you; women deserve to be treated with respect, as equals.

Thank you for sharing. Blessings.

I completely agree with your viewpoint my dear friend @inspiracion!
Every girl should educated themselves and before marriage they should know the family background and be financially independent!

But still some girls believe that love is blind which is why many are still trying to commit this kind of domestic violence but the women I have written about. Alos shared her picture in between without pointing out her, she already got divorced, and the funny thing is when she wanted to get divorced her husband refused. Still, when her husband caught up with extra marital affair(husband's ex-girlfriend came into his life), her husband divorced the woman without any compensation!

Can you imagine?

Yes, exactly what you're saying supports the point that there is a great inequality between men and women.

It's very much a cultural thing, I think a patriarchal paradigm that dominates the entire West... But you've mentioned the solution: women must be educated and become economically independent. Then, women can make their own decisions.

I don't think you can simply say, ‘What women want’... Then we're moving into clichés; they may be true in general, but when you look deeper, they don't really do anyone justice.

Furthermore, the core concerns of feminists seem to have changed over the decades. Which I support, of course: equal appreciation, equal rights (legal and informal), equal pay. Even in Germany, we are still a long way from achieving this. Nevertheless, the demands here now sound like preferential treatment. Which I strongly reject.

It is complicated to shed traditional ideas and open up to new values. Furthermore, we must always question whether these are really better for the individual and for society. We are still at the beginning of this process.

For now, I am happy when my partner clears the snow off my car in the morning so that I don't have to go out into the cold even earlier. But I appreciate it just as much when he hands me the chainsaw later because there is still wood to be cut...
