Mugged And Hurt 29/5/2019
It's difficult to settle, it's difficult to concentrate on the words to write, for those who know me on here I put out a post everyday and rarely miss any unless I really can't make it for some reason.
Well yesterday was such a day, I got invited to a friends house for a few drinks along with others who are also friends of mine.
I finished work got ready and made my way towards her house, I had never been to her place so I was a little unsure of exactly where her house was situated.
But to get there I passed a library which faces a busy main street the rest of the building turns into another road and down this road there was a group of 5 young girls all under 20 and 2 guys and just a couple of more feet away were two other guys in hoodies who didn't seem to be part of that group but I was not sure.

Some of you might say that was a sign to bolt the other way, but wearing a hoodie is seen here more common than not wearing one, anyway I passed them and turned into my friends road, I felt like I was being followed by them, one of the guys when into another road which made me think they must be making their way's home.
But the bigger guy quickly ran up close beside me and started asking me a few questions, I was confused to why he was asking me these personal questions like name and age but didn't let it distract me and continued walking, but by this point I felt what was coming...
He lastly asked for money, I said no, he suddenly stood in-front of me and wouldn't let me continue walking.
He told me I had to give him any money I had or him and he's pal would make a bloody mess out of me....
Another guy quickly appeared behind me as if from almost thin air.
I was trapped between these two with not a soul in sight to help me.
It was a residential area full of houses.
I felt like I had no other option but to comply as they could of been carrying knifes, apparently over %70 of muggers here have knifes...
I started to think even if I give them my wallet they might still stab me, I hoped they were smart enough to not kill anybody.
I had no other options but to try, so I started to take out my wallet.
He quickly snatched it off my hand, he grabbed all the money, coins and took my card also.
He then wished me a pleasant evening.... and ran off with he's pal.
I was not attacked or hurt...not this time, but fuming my money and card were stolen, especially my card as at this time I was about to go and visit my old man for our yearly visit and need my card for my travel fee's.
I was also a little lost as I continued to my friend's house but with no luck in finding it and didn't want to go back down the road I just came from.
I eventually found another way to a familiar area so I could get home.
Anyway so I hope to receive a new card ASAP and that there is enough money left in the account before my day of travel, I phoned the bank and froze my card so I'am yet to find out if the thieves got away with much but from what I can tell they didn't.
If I don't get this sorted in the next 2 days I don't know if I will be able to go see my father this year which will be very upsetting for us both as we only get to see each other once every year now, this is due to work and money.
I mentioned being hurt in the title and this is because this is not the first time I have been robbed, last time was much worse when two guys tried to steal my phone I refused and we all got into a fight, with the odds against me they beat me up enough which I was taken to hospital that very night.
What happened yesterday brought some of those memories back which is why I cooperated this time round, I was lucky to be alive both times really, I'am also hurt by how vile people can be to each other and need abit time to sort out my head from such things happening way too often.
So post's might be a little on and off for the next 3 weeks while I firstly try to find the money to visit my father and if I do make it to him I might not be able to get here on Steemit everyday.

OMG! I am so very sorry to hear about this but the important thing is that your were not physically harmed. It is a shame, this world we live in today and how you can't trust anyone. I do hope you can visit your father as I think it will do you good to be with him during this difficult time and to get away. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers @whatisnew in the end I managed to make it to my dad and your right visiting him as made me escape that bad moment which I was worried would of ruined my time here but instead being here as indeed helped me heal and relax, also I'am very thankful not to land in the hospital this time a good thought to remember, thank you and sorry it's taken so long to reply.

I am deeply sorry for what happened to you. You had to fear for your life and you no longer have your money and your card. Perhaps these youths would have turned away from you if you had said that you have very little money of your own, and then you will not be able to visit your father. As little as it will comfort you, do not forget, we live in a one world. There is not a divided world, there is no good or evil. That this has happened is always an effect of many others. Who is the cause of hopeless situations? Who knows what happens in our house? Let's begin to shed light on these effects and somehow teach people who tell us how we have to live in some way to somehow communicate and work for the ever-renewing truth, that hopeless situations no longer exist and terrible things no longer happen. I do not have much power to change anything, but I never give up. I am glad that physically nothing has happened to you. But there is also the emotional pain that has caused you a deep wound. I wish you that you can laugh again soon and you can visit your father.
A good point @suntree the only problem was they were not giving me a choice I told them I could not afford to spare them any but they said they would forcefully search me for money and if they found any I would then get a beating if I didn't own up to it. You also have a good point I know perhaps they were just doing what they needed to do but from what I can understand they brought an expensive pair of trainers with some of the money so not exactly essentials and regardless of their reasons they could be causing all sorts of harm to people in different ways, but yes thank you for the thought, I must be pleased that thank-goodness I was not hurt this time around, the emotional wounds are difficult to shift but so far doing a good job of it I hope this continues once I get back to the routine, and sorry for the late reply.
Omg i am so sorry i have missed this post. What is this world turning into there is so much anger out there. I hope you are alright and they didn't get to use your card, i also hope karma is a bitch and kicks these scum into the next century.
Hey @karenb54 me too regardless of their perhaps "reason's" for stealing I do hope karma hit's them very harshly back, even just outside people's own home's it is becoming very unsafe down any neighbourhood road just a few seconds away from a crowed, it's ridiculous and frustrating that you cant let your guard down for more than a few seconds without someone plotting to cause you harm, very sad indeed, sorry for the late reply.
I think the whole world has gone mad with all the bad going on. Just glad you didn't get hurt :)
