“Stormy day”

Hello dear Steemians

After having few stormy days all across UK, I was thinking how it is to do painting of such stormy weather. I have few photographs of our own coast but was not able to imagine how to use the water and waterolour to create something that also reflects water.

Anyhow you know yourself, there is everything in Internet and especially in youtube. While learning to use watercolours I watched a lot of different videos and learned a lot.

One of the tutor is Paul Clark who is really great how he explains but the same time he presents his videos in his funny way. He has videos with the tips and tricks how to paint different subjects, like water, trees, sky, sea, of course he was a tutorial about Rough Sea too. That made me curious and I decided to follow his tutorial and created that.

Hope you like it.

We had the storm also and this painting is exactly the scenes I have seen by the coasts.

Hello dear friend @stef1 good afternoon
In much of the world we are seeing symptoms of global warming, in your part of the world there are stormy days, here in Argentina we are experiencing droughts and forest fires.
I love your works, very realistic. I really appreciate the work you do
Have a beautiful afternoon

Yes, global warming has no borders and no matter if it is a rich country or developing we will be punished with the same strength. I hope your area will stay save though :)

An excellent option to learn, you must have enjoyed it, your painting looks very nice on you, it reflects a chaos between its waves, splashing hard, but there is a moment when the sea gives in and lowers its bad mood.

We had the storm too in Belgium! But it was not as serious as the floods we experienced this summer.
Very beautiful artwork, you have well transmitted the force of the water which bursts in contact with the rocks.
Have a nice evening :)

Hi @pipoune,I remember the floods in summer that was horrible time, there are still people who have not got back to their normal. This storm now seems to be slightly lighter and we did not have much damage although some more rain and snow up in Highlands :)

painting sea waves is something that makes it difficult for me, very good painting.

Thank you, yes, I am still working on this subject :)

A few days ago I read about storms. I wish that didn't greatly affect people. On the other hand, your work is excellent as always. Your paintings are incredible and magical, I congratulate you. 💙

Thank you for your lovely words. Yes, this time storm over Scotland was not so bad like in South West of England. But nobody can prepare to it no matter how much time we have :)

When I see these works, I envy you. I have always had an interest in painting, but I did not take the necessary step. After reading this article, I realized that today there is such a gem as the internet. all the tutorials are available on youtube, maybe it's just for me to try. Thanks for the inspiration🙂

Your work is great! I really like waves, water, sky, all the colors of nature. It's great when you can capture the mood! You are well done!
