How I Beat Chronic Anxiety!
Two years ago I became veerry sick. My life changed overnight. I suffered intensely for a long time. On the outside I seemed fine, it was an invisible illness. But sometimes I was in and out of the E.R. for the craziest symptoms. There was a point to where I thought I had no other sources to end my agony, doctors couldn't help me. I lost my independence, job, some friends, any sight of a normal future and was losing myself. So I tied a head band around my head like karate kid and got to work..
I researched soo much about health and also happened to learn the evils of big pharma. There are so many suffering people out there who could be healthy from natural remedies and not still sick and on their medications. Long story short, I cured myself thanks to my fathers knowledge as a 20 year nurse and good ol' google dot com. It's been about 5 months since I've had any symptoms and panic attacks being only one of them. Tackling life one turd at a time. Victory.
It is very important to understand the stigma of anxiety. It is nothing but a health issue.
It is nothing but a physiological health issue. Many people experience anxiety when walking up to the front of a class room for their first time, not to dismiss you but, take some deep breathes and you'll be okay.
The type that is chronic and debilitating is because of a weekend endocrine system. Your endocrine system has many functions but a major one is the management of stress, hormones and the effects it has on your body.
Hormones of your body circulate in a pathway called the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, which effects your mood. The hypothalamus sits above your brainstem, the pituitary gland sits below your brain, and the adrenal glands (controls adrenaline) are above your kidneys. That is about as technical as I will let this get.
The HPA axis is responsible for the automated nervous system that triggers your flight or fight response. This can mean a panic attack with no apparent threat what so ever. You can get a full blown panic attack with the smallest amount of stress with a damaged endocrine system.
So how does one damage their stress management systems? By not taking care of yourself.
This can look like many things. It can mean not sleeping enough for months to years while living a stressful life with a lot on your plate. That mixed with an unhealthy diet can over work your stress systems. Many people have also developed anxiety issues from consuming too many energy drinks, caffeine and any kind of stimulant for long periods of time.
Often people will waste hundreds of dollars talking to therapists and taking anti anxiety//depression medication.
The best thing you can do to cure your anxiety is to give your stress management systems a break.
You can do this by dedicating a month (depending on your severity) to getting 8 hours of sleep a night, NO STIMULANTS, eating healthy real food for Real nutrition. Meditation was a huge help for me as well.
I hope this helps you.
