I tried something similar a while back and ran into trouble with getting the proportions right from my own photos. What worked better for me was using https://my3dfigure.com/ since they handled the full process, and I didn’t need to mess with any 3D modeling or printing myself. Just sent in what they needed and got the figure back looking way cooler than I expected.
