If you’re starting out with Azure exams, the best “first certificate” for most people is usually:
1) AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals
- Easiest entry point and a great overview of cloud concepts + core Azure services
- Helps you understand the terminology and big picture before you go deeper
- Good even if you’re not sure yet whether you want admin/dev/data/security
After AZ-900, the “next” one depends on your goal:
- Administration / Operations: AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate)
- Development: AZ-204 (Azure Developer Associate)
- Data / Analytics: DP-900 → DP-203
- Security: SC-900 → (then) AZ-500 or SC-200/SC-300
- AI: AI-900 → AI-102
If you tell me your background (IT admin, developer, beginner) and what job you’re aiming for, I can suggest the best exact path.
