Introducing: Puppy Bot
Puppy Bot Is A Brand New Upvote Bot That Sends Upvotes And Unconditional Love!
Puppy Bot is perfect for minnows and Steemit newbies!
To receive an upvote from Puppy Bot, simply send a minimum of 0.01 SBD or Steem for the chance to earn a 100% upvote!
Puppy Bot is very similar to other well known Steemit upvote bots such as @buildawhale and @boomerang. However, @puppybot is geared towards newer Steemit users because it has a much lower minimum bid compared to other, bigger Steemit bots!
Here's How It Works
- Send at least 0.03 SBD or Steem to @puppybot
- Include the URL of the post you want upvoted in the memo
- Receive up to a 100% upvote from @puppybot!
Important!
Puppy Bot can potentially give you earnings equivalent to near 4 times what you put in. For example, if you place a bid for $0.04 and you're the only person that bids, you'll get a 100% upvote and receive about $0.14 back!
However, just like any other upvote bot, Puppy Bot can potentially give you break even returns or even lose a bit of money. It's up to you to decide if you want to make a bid!
A 100% Upvote Will Give Your Post Earnings Around $0.14
Other Important Info
- @puppybot upvotes every 2 hours and 40 minutes
- Puppy Bot is currently sitting on close to 350 Steem Power with a potential 5000 more on the way.
- However, whenever you use ANY upvote bot, it's a good idea to check their Steem Power to make sure you will get a good return on investment!
- Puppy Bot is brand new and not that many people are bidding yet. So chances are very good that you may be able to get a 100% upvote!
Bonus
- Followers will be randomly selected to have their most recent post resteemed to all of Puppy Bots followers every 24 hours.
- Puppy Bot is the only upvote bot that sends unconditional puppy love in addition to upvotes 😍
- Puppy Bot is the cutest bot around 😎
I have lots of questions 😀. But let's start with 2 of them.
1 did you code the bot yourself?
2 Based on steem world the vote is only worth $0.08. After curation that would be $0.06. Which results in 0.03 SBD and about 0.007 SP. So either I'm missing something or it is not as profitable as you suggested.
Btw I'm happy to test it
Happy to answer them!
No, I did not code the bot by myself. A well known Steemit user, @yabapmatt made a open source Steemit upvote bot which this is based off. I believe it's based off an upvote bot @inertia wrote in Ruby, which is also open source.
Here's the GitHub: https://github.com/MattyIce/postpromoter
This is sort of a pet project of mine for now and the code doesn't seem overly complex ( which is great ) so I may look into making some minor tweaks as time goes on. So far it seems to run exactly as advertised though.
As for the earnings, I'm going off the price compared to USD. So if you converted out the SBD and SP earnings into USD you get a bit over 15 cents at the time of writing this. Going by the current values on coinmarketcap.com, SBD is worth $4.23 and Steem is $3.61.
So that'd be: 0.03 * 4.26 + 0.007 * 3.61 = $0.15307
Let me know if you have any other questions!
I get amazed again and again by steemit. This time that everyone can get his own not for free 😀
Alright let me test it. Can I use it both for posts and comments?
Hey! =)
This comment has received a 0.40 % upvote from @speedvoter thanks to: @jesusjacr.
Yes it should work for both. I would recommend holding off an hour as I submitted a small bid to upvote your comment already :D
Is it only for a short time on the market that everyone can get his own upvoting bot?
That would explain why there seem to be quite a bit more lately.
Thanks for the bid.
Does it matter how old my post is?
There's a few barriers to entry.
A) You need to be somewhat technical to set one up
And more importantly:
B) You need to have enough Steem Power to make anyone want to actually submit a bid to the bot. My bot is extremely tiny compared to most. Some bots have literally millions of Steem Power invested in them. Mine has 320 lol.
The more Steem Power the bot has, the more the bot can earn. The bots with millions of Steem Power are literally making thousands per day. Puppy Bot will be lucky to make a few dollars per day.
I've only seen 1 bot that is smaller than @puppybot so far. It's definitely a bit of a pay to play game right now.
And yes the post/comment cannot be older than 6 days.
I'm not sure if bots with millions of SP earn more. In absolute terms they do. But as percentage not necessarily.
Thegoldencobra has only 181SP 🧐

The one I received from you only had $0.01 value. Which doesn't really help.
I also tried it once myself. For 1 post I paid 0.01 steem to puppybot and 0.01 SBD to Speedvoter.
The outcome is $0.15 value for my comment. Puppybot has the most valuable upvote for I guess $0.08.
Conclusion for now: both micro bots can give a little value. In case they receive some bids, their owners will even earn more as the upvote value the give to their customers. Anyways nobody will really earn a high absolute amount from these micro bots.
I see what you're saying. Just like any Steemit upvote bot, it's important to do your homework and check out SteemBotTracker.com to make sure the estimated earnings look good.
However, that being said, I do think there is an added bonus of just having an additional upvote and comment on the post from the bot. It might be the difference between people clicking into your post or not. Also, keep in mind, this bot is more aimed towards minnows since it has a low minimum bid.
As a user starts earning more on their posts, it may be beneficial to start using bots with more Steem Power.
But the most important takeaway is to use SteemBotTracker.com to make sure the bid stands a chance at being profitable.
