A highly alert and noisy bird found in the subcontinent

The lapwing is light brown in color, with a white belly and a black neck and head. Its most distinctive features are the red wattle in front of its eyes and long, yellow legs. Its beak is red with a black tip.
This bird is known for its vigilance. If any human or animal attempts to approach its nest, it leaps into the air and screams loudly, alerting the entire area. For this reason, it is also known as nature's
It feeds primarily on insects, snails, and small invertebrates. Urbanization and the excessive use of pesticides are currently affecting its natural habitat, although it is still found in abundance.
