Hoisting the tricolor in the school premises is just a ritual.

Preparations for the flag-hoisting ceremony on Independence Day or Republic Day begin several days in advance. Children decorate classrooms with colorful papers, and the entire atmosphere resounds with chants of "Bharat Mata ki Jai." During the main event of hoisting the tricolor, the children's discipline and their white uniforms demonstrate their loyalty to the country.
When the chief guest or principal pulls the cord and the tricolor rises skyward, all eyes are riveted. The flower petals wrapped around it fall on the children, lighting up their faces with joy.
As the national anthem "Jana Gana Mana" is played, every child stands at attention. The peace and unity of that moment conveys the message that future generations are united in their promise to respect their country.
