Design A logo for your brand

I am using canva application for making this logo design. I already participated in last week and I already have a logo design but for now I tried my best to put some extra effort in designing another logo for this week especially.

• I opened canva app and first I click on a sign that was present just in between home page which was plus sign and it brought me to another page from where I selected Instagram size post.
• It was white in colour but I changed this white colour into orange by locating colours option that was just present at bottom of page.

• After that I locate elements option and I search simply about cuisine from search bar and then I find out different interesting graphics about cuisine from which I selected some unique and interesting element which was also giving a cultural look to my brand logo.
• I adjusted size of that element by adding it to page and then I wrote brand name which was ASIAN CUISINE and I wrote it into League Spartan font style.

• I give white colour to everything I wrote in my logo design because it was looking more prominent with orange colour.
• I wrote a little description about my brand which was "Cultural flavours with aromatic spices"

This is final look of my logo design after adjusting every element properly and aligning them in center.

A promotional poster or flyer for my brand

Now I am designing a promotional poster for my brand about which I have created logo design above so let's discuss step by step that how I reach to final result;

• Just like I selected Instagram size post above,for now I have selected poster because here I am designing a poster or flyer which need some more information that cannot get fit in Instagram size post.
• After that I locate elements option and from there I searched about chef and I selected one graphic from them that was suitable for my poster designing and this is you can see that I have added it to my poster.

• I give dark green colour to my poster and hex code you can also see in the screenshot I have provided.
• After that I wrote brand name just below chef graphic or element that I already added into poster and then I also wrote little description just below brand name.
• Brand name font style I set as IMPACT because it require prominency in poster.

• I said white colour for every text I have written for now in my poster including brand name as well as description of my brand that is recognition of brand too.

• I locate elements from where I selected round frame in which I have to set my logo design, I have already made.
• I simply that element at top right corner in poster and then I added my logo design by locating gallery and choosing logo design from there.

• I searched for an arrow from elements and add it in left bottom corner and wrote menu highlights in it and give it Alice font style.
• After that again I locate elements from where I selected square shapes because in that square shapes I have to add starters and main course provided at my restaurant.
• In first box I added some starters that are available at cuisine along with some main course in second box.

• I need to add some of the special offers or some discount type offers in this design that's why again I added an element of arrow at top left corner in which I added "Get 2 free starters with 1 main course"

• After that I added location of my cuisine.
• I added contacts and I enclose it in a box design by locating effects and giving it an orange colour effect.
• I also added website URL into poster design.
• After that I made some of the adjustments where it was needed.

• This is final design you can see in which each and everything is mentioned along with brand name, brand identification, location, special offers, menu highlights etc....

Graphic design principles I keep in mind while making my design

While making my designs I keep following graphic design principles in my mind and I also implemented these principles so here I am talking that where I implemented which principle;

• I was focused at balance principal which is all about arranging of different elements for creation of sense of stability and equilibrium in whole design according to symmetry and use of visual weights properly.
• I used contrast principle of graphic design in which I used different elements of different colours size and texture for creating interest and for getting more attention from users.

• I implemented principal of graphic design by arranging all elements which is giving a sense of order and organization to my design.
• I implemented grouping of related elements together for creating a sense of unity in my designed and this is I am following graphic design principle of proximity.
• I implemented repetition principle of graphic design in which I consistentally used elements of different typography, colours and images to create proper rythm in design.
• I implemented colour harmony principal of graphic design in which I selected those colours that looks good together.
• I implemented typography principal of graphic design in which I selected and use different type faces for communicating message with more and less prominency according to need.
• I implemented texture and pattern principle of graphic design by use of different textures and patterns for adding more depth and for seeking attention of users towards my design.
• I implemented scale and hierarchy principle in my graphic design for creating a proper hierarchy in my design.

A suitable mockup for my flyer design

Now I am going to set my poster or my flyer design into different mockups in which there are billboard and Mug mockups.

• I opened canva application and then I search for Instagram size post and from where in bottom I see an option of apps.
• I click on apps and I searched for mockups.

• Here you can see in the screenshot that there is billboard mock up which I choose for making mockup design.
• I select it and you can see that how I add it to my Instagram size post.

• I adjusted this billboard makeup in my Instagram size post.
• I locate gallery and selected my poster design from there and then I added it to my billboard mockup.

• This is final billboard mockup design I have made.

• I opened canva application and then I search for Instagram size post and from where in bottom I see an option of apps.
• I click on apps and I searched for mockups.
• I choosed Mug mockup.
• I locate gallery and added flyer design in it.

• This is my Mug mockup design.
