That pipe is actually used more prevelantly for other drugs, so I would be wary carrying that around with you. That being said, it will function as a "one hitter" for smoking marajuana.

-Nope! "One hitter" pieces are great for beginners as you will not need to smoke much to get results. Thus saving you some bud!
Is this the proper device to use for a "better" experience?
-Once again, I would recommend almost any other device over this, simply because it is much more commonly used for hard drugs. A bowl would be a much better long-term solution!
How much pot do I stack in the front of this thing?
-Pack it until it's full, but not too tight as you still need air to travel through it.
