True, a lot of information isn't necessary. In fact, according to what I read, memory isn't static; each time a memory is accessed, it's different.

That explains why my mother has very different memories from mine about the same events.

Sometimes I wish I had everything recorded on video, because that way I won't be accused of making things up, or they won't change the story haha.
