My mind went blank.
Ernesto, an obscure artist whose friends envied his raw talent, decided to escape the concrete jungle for a few days. The hustle and bustle of the city drowned his focus, and he desperately needed to deliver a series of nature-inspired paintings. So, he packed up and drove until a secluded spot caught his eye. Not caring where he was, he simply pulled over, unpacked his gear, and set up to paint.
Ernesto set everything up as if he were in his own studio. All he could hear was the rustling of the wind and faint, distant howls. A profound stillness wrapped around him, making him feel as though he were in a completely different world—the last human being on Earth.
He looked around at everything, unable to understand why inspiration refused to come. To him, painting had always been second nature; in fact, it was his sole source of income. But now, his mind went completely blank. He had no idea how he was going to survive, and that crushing helplessness was all he could feel.
Ernesto thought to himself, 'I’m such an idiot. I don't need to run away from anything just to paint....He packed everything back up and drove straight to his apartment. As he began unloading his gear from the car, item by item, one of his neighbors called out, 'Hey Ernesto! Short weekend, huh?' Ernesto looked at him, walked over, and replied, 'Hey, you didn't miss a thing! Haha, come on, let me buy you a burger, but you have to help me carry the rest of this stuff.' The neighbor laughed and said, 'Alright, I’ll take the burger, but YOU keep unloading. Look, you don't need to be alone. You’re an incredible artist—you could probably paint even with my loud snoring blasting in your ears, haha!' Ernersto smiled. He learned his lesson: he didn't need isolation, he just needed his own rhythm.

I have doubts about the lack of inspiration. Most likely his mind needed peace, the peace of nature and it takes time to relax.
He left for a reason (and took his back, which stands behind him).
If it would be all about sticking to the same rhythm it wouldn't mind where he is. He would draw no matter the place (car, airport, metro, centre of the city, a restaurant or outside in nature).
Sounds your nature boy has nothing wit nature and even goes for fast food.
When I see the image, the first thing that comes to mind is precisely those moments when we run out of inspiration. It can be due to work pressure that makes us make wrong decisions. Hence my focus on the story and the ending, obviously. We can reconsider and relax to do our work better.
Hahaha, the ending of the story makes me laugh; I was reading slowly, and suddenly that somewhat abrupt and funny twist came along... I liked it. Hahaha.
When I saw the image, I thought about giving the story a twist like that.
It's not surprising that an artist would seek out a quiet corner to express their art, where they could create something away from the hustle and bustle of the world. So if the person in your story left the city in search of a quiet corner, it wouldn't be anything new, because an artist needs peace of mind to imagine.
The point is that Ernesto needs to work to live; he's not just an artist, his art is the foundation of his well-being. So, feeling pressured by the work he has to deliver, he makes the wrong decision. He doesn't need anything more than to sit down and do what he knows. His neighbor reminds him of this, and the end of the story makes it very clear and in a funny way. I think this could happen; pressure isn't good, especially at work. For example, if I need to work a few hours on a Sunday, I do it. I don't get paid for that time, but I can relax while working, and I know that I can earn that money at one of the fashion shows. In fact, when I have to participate in fashion shows, I earn more than in a normal two weeks.
A true artist is one who can naturally bring imagination to his page, and it is not up to a human being to naturally bring any imagination to his mind. For this, the human mind needs to be relaxed, and that is achieved only through silence and peace. To give my own example, I am not an artist, but when I sit down to write any post on Steemit, I want silence and peace. So I choose a time when all the family members are gone somewhere or there is silence in the house.

Some work better if there is pressure or deadline. Not me by the way.
A great comment.

Very true. It is hard to focus on all the thoughts and ideas if you are constantly disturbed. One can work but it would be way better if able to finish without disturbances.
When a task is done with constant concentration, it is completed more quickly than when it is faced with constant disturbances.
