CineAtlas 60 | Week 1 — One Take Intro | [Pahartali Colony Road / Chittagong]
SteemAtlas Pin – My First Cinema Location
I visited the Chittagong Railway Colony area. It is a quiet pitch clad road surrounded by a very small number of residents and lined with rows of tall, massive trees on both sides. This road, built for the colony next to the Pahartali Railway Office and is open to the public.
I was looking for a place where people reside but without the noise of urban life; a place surrounded by a serene environment of lush greenery where the chirping of birds is heard more than the sound of vehicles, and one can enjoy the cool breeze. It has a kind of mental peace, which is why I wanted to capture it for my first cinematic entry.
Micro-Film Video – One Take Only
Below, I have attached my video, which was captured in a single continuous shot without any cuts. To be honest, I enjoyed walking on that road so much that I didn't stop until I captured the whole scenario from the beginning of my walk, so I took a bit more time than the basic requirement to complete the video.

Description – “Why this place?
What I See
In my shot, I tried to portray the calm and beautiful morning atmosphere of the road. The road is somewhat steep, similar to roads found in hilly areas. While ascending from the bottom, there is a middle point where the road splits into two directions—one leads toward the colony and the other toward the local area; this specific spot looks the most beautiful.
On both sides of the road stand many large, tall trees with very thick trunks at the base. Another noticeable thing is that the trees have fewer leaves, so the sunlight to peek through the treee and fall onto the road. However, due to the shade of the trees, the heat of the sun wasn't felt at all. These trees are home to many different kinds of birds.
As I continued walking upside, I reached the very front of the Railway Colony. Here, the number of houses is relatively few; there’s a house every short distance, and there are no large buildings. The houses are surrounded by coconut trees. I have a personal desire to live in such a peaceful and beautiful environment, which I saw here.
This land is somewhat upright, much like a hilly region. But people have arranged everything according to their convenience for living. Just because it is high ground doesn't mean they won't live there; therefore, they have built stairs on the road, and through these stairs, they reach their homes from the road.
Why this place matters to me
As I walked into the colony area, I encountered several people. Among them, a local man caught my attention, though his face is not visible in the camera as he was at a distance ahead of me. The man was carrying a gas cylinder on his bicycle. It reminded me of a moment in my own life, fulfilling responsibilities as the eldest son, so this moment truly matters to me.
The mood/story I tired to Express
Through this one-take video shot, I wanted to express the simple life within a calm and silent environment. My main story is around the fact that even amidst our noisy and busy lives, such a corner of peace remains hidden. If you watch the video patiently from the beginning, you will feel as if you are walking with me on that road and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

Evaluation Summary (Week 1)
Final Score: 7.9 / 10
General Comment
This is a strong Week 1 entry with excellent “cinema atlas” spirit: a real public place, a clear emotional mood, and a simple one-take walk that makes the viewer feel present. The only major risk is duration compliance (make sure it stays within 20–60 seconds). To reach top scores, add proof of engagement by including two direct links to your Shot Breakdown comments, and consider choosing a moment/time with fewer honks or positioning your mic away from the road for cleaner ambience.
I missed it. I didn't notice the part about attaching the comment links to the post. Thank you for the points, dear.

Looks like a lovely calm rural place. Later the sounds of honking cars, bus and bikes breaking the silence and finally if I am not mistaken I heard someone saying "Maza nahi hai" Great job.
You guessed it right. I heard that sound in the video too, but I didn't pay attention to who was speaking in the background at the time of recording. You noticed it very carefully, dear👌👌
From your video and images I can say that the place is a good spot for anyone who wants to refresh his or her mind, by going to have a mindful breath, meditation or spending time with nature. I like how it's. Wishing you good luck

Dear brother, a very familiar place for me is Pahartali Railway Colony. I recognized it after seeing the pictures in your content. I have been fortunate enough to visit the place several times as I am studying EEE from Chittagong University of Science and Technology (USTC). You have chosen a very beautiful place. It is very peaceful and surrounded by forests and hills. Best wishes to you.
This is my first time visiting this place, and it is simply a place of endless peace. I am delighted to hear that you completed your graduation in our city. I have visited the Bangabandhu Hospital at USTC several times, where the treatment is quite affordable. Thank you for visiting, brother.
