SC-S30 | CineAtlas60 Week 2 - 3 Shots Story
Edited by Canva
Hello Steemians,
Welcome to Week 2 of CineAtlas 60, our filmmaking map challenge built on:
Speem.watch (video) + SteemAtlas (map pin).
In Week 1, you introduced your first location with a One Take Intro—your first frame on the global cinema map.
Now we level up with a classic cinematic storytelling tool: the 3-shot sequence.
This week is designed to be simple, fair, and doable anywhere: a street, a park, a market corner, a beach, a hallway, a bridge—any safe public place can become a story.

Theme of the Week: 3 Shots Story — “Wide / Medium / Close-Up”
The title of Week 2 is “3 Shots Story”.
Your mission is to create a micro-film (20–60 seconds) using exactly 3 shots:
1) Wide shot (establish the place)
2) Medium shot (show the action / subject)
3) Close-up (reveal a detail / emotion / conclusion)
✅ You may cut between the 3 shots.
❌ More than 3 shots = invalid for this week.
Tell a tiny story: a moment, a simple action, a discovery, a mood—no dialogue required, but allowed.

Mandatory Platforms / Video Requirement (Curation Note)
✅ Important Steemit curation requirement:
Since curation is done only on steemit.com, your video must be directly viewable on steemit.com to be counted for curation.
Therefore every entry must include:
- ✅ Speem.watch link (primary upload)
- ✅ A second link viewable on steemit.com (recommended: YouTube)
- ❌ IPFS-only links will not be accepted for curation

What Your Post Must Include
Every valid entry for Week 2 must contain four key elements:
a SteemAtlas pin, a 3-shot film, a short description, and weekly engagement.
1. SteemAtlas Pin – Your Filming Location
Open SteemAtlas and place a pin on your filming location (public / safe place).
In the pin description and your post, explain clearly:
- City + country
- What kind of place it is (street, park, beach, café area, monument, market, etc.)
- Why it fits your Week 2 story
2. Micro-Film Video (20–60 seconds) – Exactly 3 Shots
Create a 20–60 sec micro-film with exactly 3 shots:
- Shot 1: Wide (show the place)
- Shot 2: Medium (show the action / subject)
- Shot 3: Close-up (show the key detail / ending)
Rules:
- ✅ You can edit/cut between shots
- ✅ Basic color correction is fine
- ✅ Add subtitles if you speak
- ❌ No extra shots (no 4th shot, no montage)
- ❌ No separate intro/outro clips (text overlays are allowed)
Your video must include:
- ✅ Speem.watch link
- ✅ YouTube (or any Steemit-embeddable player) link
3. Description – “What is the story in 3 shots?”
Write a description:
- What is happening in your 3-shot story?
- Why did you choose this place?
- Explain each shot briefly:
- Wide: what it establishes
- Medium: what action we see
- Close-up: what detail finishes the story
- Add At least 4 photos from the area to improve presentation.
4. Engagement Twist – Shot Breakdown Comments
Each participant must comment on at least two Week 2 entries with a Shot Breakdown:
- Identify the weekly technique: 3 shots (Wide/Medium/Close-up) ✔
- Mention your favorite moment with a timestamp
- Give one constructive suggestion (framing, light, story clarity, sound)
Simple “nice / great” comments do not count.
