Hello Steemians,

Week 1 opened SC-S30 | CineAtlas60 with the foundation of every filmmaker: the first shot.
The mission was:

Choose a real public place, pin it on SteemAtlas, and introduce it with a 20–60 second micro-film filmed in one uninterrupted take.

Participants were expected to include:

  • SteemAtlas pin (city/country + place type + why it matters)
  • One-take micro-film (20–60 seconds) (no cuts / no transitions)
  • Steemit-viewable link (e.g., YouTube) + Speem upload
  • At least 4 photos for better presentation
  • Engagement: Shot Breakdown comments (timestamp + suggestion) on other entries

All final scores used in this report are the jury totals produced in our Week 1 review set and are mathematically consistent with the rubric totals as recorded.

Post Quality Snapshot

The most common Week 1 weaknesses were:

  • Engagement evidence missing: many users commented, but did not include two Shot Breakdown comment links inside the post.
  • Rule clarity gaps: “one take / 20–60 seconds” not stated clearly, or video links not placed in a clean section.
  • Technical limits: shaky walking shots, zoom shake, muted audio, or too much sky in the frame.
  • Pin naming issues: some pins used generic labels or the challenge title instead of the real place name.
  • Story not tight enough: good description, but missing a strong “first frame” cinematic intention.
High quality (8.5 – 10) 4 posts Strong compliance, clear mood, good execution, clean pin info, and verifiable engagement.
Good (7.0 – 8.49) 12 posts Solid entries, usually missing one key element (often engagement proof or technical polish).
Needs improvement (Below 7.0) 8 posts Most often missing clear video compliance, engagement proof, or a clean SteemAtlas pin label.

Jury Notes (What Made Week 1 Scores Rise)

  • State the rule explicitly: “20–60 seconds, one continuous take, no cuts/transitions.”
  • Start with an establishing frame before moving into detail.
  • Stability + sound: slow walking, avoid zoom, keep ambient audio on.
  • Use the exact place name in the SteemAtlas pin description.
  • Show engagement clearly: add two Shot Breakdown comment links.

Closing Words

Week 1 proved that a “cinematic atlas” does not need expensive gear, only a real place, a single honest take, and a reason.
Thank you to everyone who pinned, filmed, wrote, and engaged with other creators.
