RE: Bangkok Thailand City from Above Clearly cityscapephotography
Great view! Are you in Asia for fun, work, or living there? Sure you probably mentioned it before, but I have just been going off an assumption and hate doing that.
I moved here in my nomadic quest :) As long as I have a computer and wifi - I can go anywhere. I picked Thailand mostly for cost of living issues and the heat. I do not like to be cold with my arthritis. I had the idea I would travel more, but Thailand took my heart.
Thanks for sharing, and for all the fun photos that are making me want to take a vacation...lol.
This is what I has assumed, but hate to assUme. Understand not liking the cold. Had some xrays the other day. 3 pinched nerves in my back and they confirmed what I knew about arthritis in my hip. My Wife keeps saying "but you used to say you loved the cold" whenever I complain about it these days. She just doesn't understand how it effects the body when you have aches and pains. Keep tossing the idea of a move around, but all our family is here.
I was cold in San Diego for many years! The cold just seizes up all my joints. It is bad enough in the heat. I know it is hard to leave people since I do it so frequently.
Cold in San Diego...LOL. Sorry, that is hot.
We were there for xmas a few years back and we walked out of the airport in tshirts and jeans. People were walking around in winter coats and scarves. We literally had to laugh at them. Then again we left 10 degree temps and it felt like summer to us at that point.
We had about 2 weeks straight this winter already with low single digits or lower as the high. It was brutal cold and was during the kids winter break so we were running around a lot.
I was one of the people with 4 jackets, a hat, scarf, and gloves pretty much all year long in SD.
Now I am really in trouble after 2 years in Thailand. Below 75 is too cold to go outside now.
I did grow up in snow and hope only to see it in a ski resort from now on - if that.
There is something about snow that you just have to appreciate when it falls. There is a simple beauty to everything with a fresh coating of snow...but then you remember you need to shovel your driveway and go drive on the slippery roads and that beauty just isn't enough to offset reality.
Now I really don't like hot weather either. It's easier for me to add clothes to warm up, but can only remove so many layers of clothes.
