Final Presentation

1000614174.jpgMy Bole and Sweet Chilli Sauce
Which country or culture inspired your combination? Give a clear explanation about your inspiration

My Bole combination with sweet chilli sauce was inspired by the country called Thailand, one of the countries in South East Asia.

Their chili sauce is popular in Thailand and can also be called the Nam jim gai. The major ingredient for making this sauce is the red chili pepper no wonder it goes by the name Chilli Sauce.

I have always loved to have a taste of Thai food because I heard they have one of the best chef ever. Well since I am yet to travel down there I decided to try out their sauce but this time with something different.

Added crayfish in my own recipe and I didn't add sugar because they often like adding sugar to their dishes.

What new flavor, or presentation did you create?

The flavor I created was from the crayfish and salt I added rather than the use of sugar. It gave my sauce a very unique taste.

Rather than blend the chilli peppers I sliced them giving it a new blend all together. I also added carrots to the sauce giving it a crunchy taste.

I made Bole with a mix of Thai chili sauce with a difference. This time instead of dipping into the chilli sauce, the bole is eating along side with the sauce.

How do you think people would react if this food was sold on the street? Explain

Oh my God! First they would be surprised that this kind of meal can be gotten road side.
This is a complete balanced meal. If sold on the street it will be mind blowing.
Many people will be happy to have a complete balanced meal sold very affordable.

I know they will accept the meal and enjoy it with a chilled drink. The person selling this meal will have lots of customers because this meal is not easily accessible.

It will be so easy to accept this meal because there is something already similar to this meal at the Southern part of Nigeria but there sauce is done with both peppers and tomatoes. But this is completely different and so delicious.

Hey friends you are invited to join this challenge.

Omg! What a coincidence!😁 were you reading my mind? I actually wanted to prepare bole oo but at this point, first come first have.🤗 Let me think of something else.

I really like this your method (coating the plantain before roasting). Mine usually burn when using ripe one and I will have to spend time peeling the burnt part. I will definitely try this out. Can I use vegetable oil to coat instead palm oil?

Your twist turned out looking yummy!
Thank you for the detailed recipe… best wishes 🤗

Oh chai sorry about the coincidence..

Yes you can coat with vegetable oil instead of palm oil. Also note that there is need to wrap with aluminum foil. My foil is finished and I couldn't get another one. So I did it without wrapping.. Guess what? This is the first time am doing it without wrapping and it came out clean.

Wow! I will try with foil because sometimes the burnt parts usually give a bitter taste if not peeled off properly. Thank you so much sis!🤗

Amiga que delicia se ve esa comida, se ve buena para la venta y sencilla de hacer me encanta los platanos como sean y con cualquier combinación.

Nice recipe, I love this method. On a normal day, I know the one dried with smoke not this pattern. I think this is easier to get your bole done.

Best wishes!

Yes this is a very unique pattern. Not everyone knows this one. But I will advice that you use aluminum foil to wrap the coated plantain. I don't have the foil right now that's why I didn't use it.

It's a very simple style I leant a long time ago as a student. And you know the smoke pattern Is not so healthy to the body.

Hi @ruthjoe

You have prepared your local street food Bole with a global twist of Thailand. I really love your recipe. You put great effort to make the recipe and its presentation. Best of luck for the contest.

Thank you ma'am for the show of support.
I really appreciate you.

Wow this is so appetizing, do you know that I was having in mind to prepare something like this. I wish you good luck.

Are you for real?
Wow!

Maybe you can try something different since everyone is supposed to make something unique.

Come and join me let's eat

Please bring mine to meetup this weekend. Thanks

Omo

I see the fried bananas are from Nigeria too and not only from Venezuela. Very good!

Oh is that what you call over there? Wow we call it bole because it's not fried but roasted.
Thank you for your feedback

Bananas can be used to make such a great street food that I never imagined before. You have made the recipe for Thai chili sauce. This chili sauce looks very tempting. The presentation of your food is also very beautiful.

This is not banana. It’s plantain actually but look alike
