So for example, mosh.cred.net would be a mirror for mosh.com. Ditto candid.cred.net for candid.com, grok.cred.net for grok.com, etc..

Actually when I was referring to the sub-domains idea, I wasn't thinking literally about Internet domains, but more just in general. So rather than using a completely different and unrelated name for each app, you'd somehow be drawing a link between them. So the mirror idea is in line with what I was thinking!

What do you think of Unglued for video app name? Come unglued from the mainstream media. Not as concise as the others though and significantly more edgy. YakekyYak or just Yak for a discussion site is less professional, but unique. For a chat and communication app, I can’t decide between Links or Junction.

Unglued makes sense from that perspective for sure. I like Yak though :) It's funny, short and sweet. I suppose it needs to fit into the overall picture, so it goes well with Mosh, Gush, etc. Actually I don't see how it's any less professional than those ones really. Unglued fits very nicely with Candid, Interact, Junction, etc. imo.
