RE: SC-S29|Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 1: The Origin Point
Thank you for your participation in Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 1: The Origin Point. Here is an evaluation of the post by @marwene, following the official Week 1 rubric for Geo-Quest Mystery.
Evaluation Summary
| Criteria | Score | Comments |
|---|---|---|
| 1. SteemAtlas Pin & Description | 1.45 / 1.5 | Excellent SteemAtlas pin with clear coordinates (Ferme Ibrahim, Sidi Khalifa, Tunisia) and a practical info section (nearby sites, activities, best time). For full points, add 1–2 extra wayfinding details (nearest town/road reference or a simple “how to reach” line). |
| 2. Creativity of Mission & Hidden Clue | 1.85 / 2.0 | Strong “Origin Point” choice: a camp base that anchors multiple explorations (farm life, mountains, cave, Roman ruins). The acrostic is well executed and fits the rules. Slight deduction only because the hidden clue is fairly easy to spot once the acrostic structure is noticed. |
| 3. Speem.watch Proof Video | 1.95 / 2.0 | Very solid: a direct Speem.watch link is provided and the video is described as recorded on-site. To reach a perfect score, ensure the clip includes an unmistakable recognizable marker + a direct spoken line (“This is where my Geo-Quest Mystery journey begins because…”) clearly audible. |
| 4. Storytelling Quality | 1.9 / 2.0 | Well-structured and immersive: camp base → learning (beehive) → hikes → cave → ruins → return to camp. Strong “slow explorer” identity and reflective tone. Minor repetition in the “animals” reflection section could be tightened for sharper impact. |
| 5. Photos Quality & Authenticity | 1.5 / 1.5 | Excellent authentic photo set with variety (farm life, animals, food, hiking, cave, ruins, sunset, firecamp). Strong proof and visual storytelling. |
| 6. Engagement (Comments / Clue Guessing) | 0.9 / 1.0 | You noted the participant commented on 3 other entries and mentioned hidden clues. Full points would require that the clue-guessing is clearly shown as thoughtful (short reasoning) and not only stating the answer but overall engagement is strong. |
Final Score: 9.55 / 10
Remarks:
This is one of the strongest Week 1 entries: highly original, grounded in real exploration, and visually rich. The concept of an “Origin Point” as a camp base that generates multiple micro-adventures fits the theme perfectly. With slightly more visitor directions on the SteemAtlas pin and a tighter, less repetitive reflection paragraph, this could be a near-perfect submission.

Thank you so much for the great feedback
Really happy you liked the concept. I’ll definitely improve the directions and tighten the reflection next time. Appreciate the support!
