Ferme Ibrahim, our camp base in Sidi Khalifa the origin point of my Geo-Quest Mystery journey.

Hello Steemians,

This post is my entry for Geo-Quest Mystery Week 1: The Origin Point.
Every explorer begins somewhere meaningful.
For me, that place is Ferme Ibrahim, in Sidi Khalifa, Tunisia.

Nature, animals, food, history, and silence meet here and shape the way I explore the world.

My Origin Point Ferme Ibrahim, Sidi Khalifa

Ferme Ibrahim is a rural farm surrounded by open land and mountains.
It became our camp base, the place where we cooked, rested, and returned after every exploration.

For me, an Origin Point is not where I travel the farthest,
but where my way of exploring was born.

At Ferme Ibrahim, I learned to slow down, to observe animals, land, fire, and silence.
This place shaped how I explore everywhere else.

This is where my Geo-Quest Mystery journey truly begins.

A Short Explorer Story

Out of busy routines, I found peace in places like this.
Between animals, fire, and shared meals, I felt grounded.
Slow moments taught me to observe carefully.
Every path outside the camp revealed something new.
Rural life reshaped my curiosity.
Viewing nature calmly became natural.
Each return to camp felt meaningful.
Rooted here, my journey began.

I see myself as a slow explorer, more interested in understanding places than collecting them.
Observation comes before movement, and Ferme Ibrahim taught me that.

Learning from Nature

Opening the beehive for a day of learning, care, and buzzing life.

Spending time with the beehive was a strong reminder of how organized and delicate nature can be.
It taught me patience, attention, and respect for living systems.

Camp Life Food, Animals and Daily Moments

Camp life at Ferme Ibrahim is about simplicity and connection.

Animals are part of everyday life here, and each encounter adds warmth and meaning to the experience.

Into the Mountains

Following the trail the mountain gives small surprises at every step.

From the camp base, we followed a natural trail into the mountains.
Every step felt calm and meaningful.

The Hidden Cave

Discovering the hidden cave protected by the mountain.

Reaching the cave felt like discovering a secret kept by the land itself.

History Between the Stones

Exploring between the Roman ruins.

Walking among the ruins of Pheradi Majus connects the present moment with ancient history.
It reminds me that exploration is also about memory.

Returning to Camp

After the long walk and discoveries, we returned to Ferme Ibrahim to rest and reflect.

Firecamp Night

The fire brought warmth, food, and silence.
Moments like this define true exploration.

The next morning began calmly, with simple food and fresh air.

How I Feel With Animals at Ferme Ibrahim

Being surrounded by animals at Ferme Ibrahim changes the way I feel inside.
There is no noise, no pressure, and no rush.

Animals do not judge, they do not hurry life.
They accept presence, calm, and respect.

When I spend time with them, I feel grounded and connected to something real.
Each animal has its own character, its own rhythm, and its own way of communicating.

These moments remind me that simplicity is powerful,
and that living close to animals brings peace and balance.

Ferme Ibrahim is more than a place.
It is where my way of observing and exploring the world begins.

Thank you for your participation in Geo-Quest Mystery – Week 1: The Origin Point. Here is an evaluation of the post by @marwene, following the official Week 1 rubric for Geo-Quest Mystery.

Evaluation Summary

CriteriaScoreComments
1. SteemAtlas Pin & Description1.45 / 1.5Excellent SteemAtlas pin with clear coordinates (Ferme Ibrahim, Sidi Khalifa, Tunisia) and a practical info section (nearby sites, activities, best time). For full points, add 1–2 extra wayfinding details (nearest town/road reference or a simple “how to reach” line).
2. Creativity of Mission & Hidden Clue1.85 / 2.0Strong “Origin Point” choice: a camp base that anchors multiple explorations (farm life, mountains, cave, Roman ruins). The acrostic is well executed and fits the rules. Slight deduction only because the hidden clue is fairly easy to spot once the acrostic structure is noticed.
3. Speem.watch Proof Video1.95 / 2.0Very solid: a direct Speem.watch link is provided and the video is described as recorded on-site. To reach a perfect score, ensure the clip includes an unmistakable recognizable marker + a direct spoken line (“This is where my Geo-Quest Mystery journey begins because…”) clearly audible.
4. Storytelling Quality1.9 / 2.0Well-structured and immersive: camp base → learning (beehive) → hikes → cave → ruins → return to camp. Strong “slow explorer” identity and reflective tone. Minor repetition in the “animals” reflection section could be tightened for sharper impact.
5. Photos Quality & Authenticity1.5 / 1.5Excellent authentic photo set with variety (farm life, animals, food, hiking, cave, ruins, sunset, firecamp). Strong proof and visual storytelling.
6. Engagement (Comments / Clue Guessing)0.9 / 1.0You noted the participant commented on 3 other entries and mentioned hidden clues. Full points would require that the clue-guessing is clearly shown as thoughtful (short reasoning) and not only stating the answer but overall engagement is strong.

Final Score: 9.55 / 10

Remarks:
This is one of the strongest Week 1 entries: highly original, grounded in real exploration, and visually rich. The concept of an “Origin Point” as a camp base that generates multiple micro-adventures fits the theme perfectly. With slightly more visitor directions on the SteemAtlas pin and a tighter, less repetitive reflection paragraph, this could be a near-perfect submission.

Geo-Quest Mystery Jury

Thank you so much for the great feedback
Really happy you liked the concept. I’ll definitely improve the directions and tighten the reflection next time. Appreciate the support!
