Set Goals, Map the Path, Keep Moving
Daybook September 17
Goals are most useful when they make progress visible. A meaningful goal clarifies the next action, anticipates barriers, supports monitoring, and creates a basis for reflection. In nursing education and preceptorship, goals should not function as instruments of comparison or shame. They should help learners see both the distance ahead and the distance already traveled. Progress remembered can become evidence that another step is possible.
