Too Busy to Do It Right?steemCreated with Sketch.

Being busy is real in nursing, but rushing often creates more work. Doing it right the first time is a priority decision, not a time luxury.

“I’m too busy” is one of the most common phrases in nursing.
But being busy doesn’t make mistakes disappear—it multiplies them.

When tasks are rushed, someone pays later: the nurse, the team, or the patient.
Doing it right once often prevents rework, corrections, and harm.

Shortcuts are not always wrong.
They are acceptable only when they clearly benefit the patient and are guided by experience.

Time management is not about speed.
It’s about choosing what cannot be compromised.
