Effective nurse educators know when education can help—and when accountability must come from management. Clear boundaries protect educators and organizations alike.
Nurse educators are often asked to fix everything with education.
But not every issue is a learning gap.
Sometimes people already know what to do.
What’s missing is accountability—not information.
When educators carry problems that belong to management,
they inherit frustration, conflict, and emotional exhaustion.
Asking the right question protects everyone:
Is this an education issue, or a responsibility issue?
Clear boundaries are not resistance.
They are professionalism.
